NASA has teamed up with the Jim Henson Company to bring the beloved children's show "Fraggle Rock" to life in a new stage show, "Fraggle Rock: A Space-y Adventure." The production features full-body "walk-around" characters and combines elements of NASA's space exploration plans with the whimsical world of Fraggle Rock.
The show centers around Uncle Traveling Matt, a beloved character from the original series who is tasked with discovering outer (outer) space for the first time. According to director, writer, and choreographer John Tartaglia, "He never really questioned what's beyond, because he thinks he's done it all." As a result, his mind is blown when he realizes that there's something even beyond Fraggle Rock.
To differentiate between the Fraggles' use of "outer space" - their own world - and our "outer space," NASA refers to the latter as "outer outer space." The show uses postcards written by Traveling Matt to explain concepts such as the Moon, which serves as a way to bridge the gap between Fraggle Rock's world and ours.
In addition to introducing audiences to the wonders of outer space, the production also emphasizes the importance of exploration, discovery, and fragile ecosystems. But seriously, it's kinda awesome that they're bringing these lovable characters into the universe. I'm excited to see how they'll make Fraggle Rock fit with all this "outer outer space" stuff... I guess that's what they mean by "out of this world"... get it?

Just kidding, kinda... seriously though, what's up with this "outer outer space" thing? Are they trying to confuse us on purpose? I swear, it smells like a government cover-up. NASA just wants to distract us from the real issues, like their alleged plans for Mars colonization and secret alien bases
