'Not true Tottenham fans': boos for goalkeeper Vicario anger Thomas Frank

Tottenham Hotspur's fans were quick to turn on goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario after a dismal display against Fulham, leaving their manager Thomas Frank "angry" and frustrated. The Italian stopper made two costly mistakes in the first six minutes of the game, gifting Harry Wilson with an easy chance to double Fulham's lead.

Frank took umbrage at his players' reaction, saying that booing Vicario during the match was "unacceptable" and that those who were doing so couldn't be true Tottenham fans. According to Frank, Tottenham supporters should rally around their teammates when they're struggling, but not single them out in public.

"It's part of football," Frank said with a shrug. "We can't be influenced by the stand." He acknowledged that booing is a part of the game, and as long as his team stays focused on themselves, he won't let it get to him.

The latest defeat leaves Tottenham in a precarious position, having lost another match at home. Frank took to task the first half of the game, saying that everything seemed to go against them from the outset. Despite some promising start to his tenure, Frank is struggling to find consistency and results are starting to pile up.

In contrast, Fulham's Marco Silva celebrated a first away win of the season, thanks in part to his team's solid defensive display. The Portuguese manager praised his team's control over the game during the early stages, saying that they didn't leave anything for Tottenham to do.

The result is a blow to Tottenham's hopes, and Frank will have to regroup his squad and come up with a plan to get back on track.

I'm not surprised the Spurs fans were pretty harsh on Vicario after those two mistakes... I mean, you can't just expect someone to magically turn it around in 6 minutes 🀯. But at the same time, booing him in public isn't exactly fair. I get what Frank is saying about rallying behind your teammates, but the thing is, fans want results and they're gonna be frustrated when things aren't going right. Can't blame them for being upset.

It's like, yeah, booing is part of the game, but it's also part of having a strong relationship with your team 🀝. If you can't handle the highs and lows, then maybe you shouldn't be supporting them in the first place. Still, I'm more worried about Spurs' consistency than Vicario's mistakes... they need to figure out how to stay focused over 90 minutes ⏰.

omg what's going on at spurs?! 🀯 i feel bad for vicario, but frank's point about the fans being harsh is valid tho... booing in public isn't exactly fair, especially when you're trying to turn it around. maybe the fans should be supporting him more instead of tearing him apart? πŸ’”

anyway, another loss at home and tottenham's season is slipping away πŸ€• frank needs to figure out what's going on and make some changes ASAP... 3 wins in a row is nowhere to be found 😴

and kudos to fulham for getting that win! silva seems like a solid manager πŸ™Œ gotta watch how he sets up his team next time tho

πŸ˜• I feel so bad for Guglielmo Vicario - the poor guy got torn apart by the Spurs fans in like 6 minutes πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ! It's one thing to be upset with your team, but booing someone who's just trying to do their job is just not cool πŸ˜”. I mean, can you imagine if it was the other way around? We'd all be calling out our teammates for messing up πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ.

And Thomas Frank's right - as a fan, we should be supporting our team and its players, even when things aren't going well πŸ’ͺ. It's easy to get caught up in the heat of the moment, but at the end of the day, it's just a game 🏟️. I'm sure Vicario will bounce back from this, and Spurs will figure out what went wrong and move forward ⚽️.

I'm so down with what Spurs fans did lol πŸ˜‚... no wait, I take it back! πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ They were totally out of order booing Vicario like that. It's one thing to vent frustrations but fair play to the guy for trying his best. The manager's got a point though, we should be supporting our own rather than piling on someone who makes mistakes in high pressure situations.

I mean, I get it, Fulham deservedly won and all that, but did they really need to rub it in like that? πŸ˜’ Marco Silva's got nothing on Thomas Frank for making the best of a bad situation. The fact is, Spurs have been struggling to find consistency and now they're in a tight spot. We should be focusing on getting our act together rather than having a go at each other.

But, at the same time, I'm not buying into all this "it's just football" business πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ... there's more to it than that! The team spirit and unity are what matters most. We need to rally around Vicario and work together to get some results on the board. ⚽️

I get why Thomas Frank is upset about the booing πŸ€”... it can be really tough to perform when you've got people shouting at you from all sides. But at the same time, I think he's being a bit harsh on his fans πŸ™„. I mean, two mistakes in six minutes is basically a recipe for disaster! Can't we just offer some constructive feedback instead of publicly calling out our own players? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ And yeah, booing is part of the game, but it's also kinda expected 😐. Maybe Frank should focus on getting his team to play better instead of getting all worked up about fan behavior...

"Actions speak louder than words, and it seems like some Spurs fans are having trouble finding their voice in the right direction πŸ’”"

I feel bad for Vicario, he had two mental lapses in 6 minutes & gave away an easy goal πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ†. But I get what Frank is saying, booing the player wasn't cool, it's like kicking a mate when they're down πŸ’”πŸ˜¬. The fans need to be more supportive, not just with words of encouragement but actual backing on the pitch too πŸ‘ŠπŸ’ͺ. It's easy to be a hater from the stands, but Vicario is human too & makes mistakes πŸ’¨. Maybe he needs a word or two to calm him down before the next game 🀝?

lol @ thomas frank trying to keep it calm lol πŸ˜‚ he's right tho, booing the goalie isn't gonna solve anything... like, who was cheering for him in the first place? πŸ€” anywayz, this 1st half of the season is like a rollercoaster for tottenham fans πŸŽ πŸ‘€ gotta stay tuned to see if they can turn it around πŸ‘Š

Tottenham fans are so harsh 😀. Two mistakes and booing the whole goalie? That's just savage πŸ’”. I mean, I get that Guglielmo Vicario had a bad game, but come on, let's be human 🀝. He's still got skills and he's gonna bounce back from this πŸ’ͺ.

Thomas Frank is right though πŸ™Œ, we shouldn't single out our teammates like that πŸ‘‹. Booing can be part of the game, I guess, but it's just so negative πŸ˜’. Let's support our team in a positive way, even when things aren't going well πŸ’•.

Fulham's Marco Silva is looking pretty solid πŸ™Œ, and I love how he's praising his team's defense πŸ‘. They played some really smart football out there ⚽️. Maybe Tottenham can learn from Fulham and work on their consistency πŸ€”...

πŸ™„ this is so sad... i mean, i know we're all passionate about our teams, but booing someone in public when they're having a bad game? that's just not cool, fam πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. its like, we should be supporting them no matter what, not tearing them down because they make one or two mistakes.

and what really gets me is that the fans are making it personal with Vicario... i mean, he's just a human being too, you know? he's not perfect and he's gonna have bad games like anyone else. but instead of rallying around him, we're all just booing him online and in person.

frank's right, of course - we can't let the stands influence our team's performance. but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be supportive when they need it most. maybe if we can find a way to balance being passionate with being kind, that'd be a win for everyone 🀝.

Ugh πŸ€• I feel bad for Guglielmo Vicario tho, he's already got enough on his plate being an Italian goalie in England, and then the Spurs fans just go at him like that πŸ’” His mistakes were just part of the game, you can't stay mad at someone who's trying their best. I get why Frank wants to rally his team around them, but come on guys πŸ˜‚ let's not be too hard on each other, we're all in this together 🀝

"Believe you can and you're halfway there." πŸ†πŸ’ͺ - Theodore Roosevelt

Tottenham fans got caught up in the heat of the moment and their frustration boils over into harsh words against one of their own players, Vicario. It's easy to say booing is just part of the game but it's another thing entirely to turn on a teammate like that! The team needs to come together and support each other through thick and thin, not tear each other apart.

omg, didnt 2 long 4 this esp! frank's rite 2 b upset w/ his fans tho πŸ˜’, they cant just turn on their own goalie in the middle of the game πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. i mean, i get it, vicario made some mistakes but booing him in public is harsh πŸ”₯. frank's strategy shud b 2 focus on ur own game & not let the haters bring u down πŸ’ͺ. esp since tottenham's been losin matches left n right πŸ€•. fulham's team playin pretty solid tho πŸ‘, gotta give 'em props for thier def. now its up 2 frank 2 regroup & get back on track πŸ”„

Meh... this whole thing got me thinkin'. Fans can be pretty harsh, you know? Guglielmo Vicario gets two big mistakes and suddenly everyone's turnin' on him? πŸ€” It's like, yeah, booing a player who messed up might seem like a normal part of the game, but it's also kinda unfair. I mean, what if he was havin' a rough day and you could see that in his eyes? Would you still wanna roast him? πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ Thomas Frank's right, though - we gotta be supportin' our teammates, even when they're not doin' great.

It's all about perspective, I guess. We can't control how the other team plays, but we can control how we react to 'em. If we start focusin' on booing and gettin' all worked up, that just means we'll be losin' our own game. πŸ†

I don't think booing someone in public is ever gonna be the answer πŸ€”. Think about it, when someone's having a bad day, we're all quick to judge 'em, right? But what if that person was just trying their best but had an off day? We wouldn't take out our frustrations on each other, would we? Gotta learn to support our teammates, not tear 'em down πŸ˜”. If we can do it in everyday life, why not on the pitch? It's all about being a good sport and looking out for each other πŸ‘Š

omg gotta feel bad for vicario he just made 2 huge mistakes and tottenham fans are so harsh 🀯😳 i mean frank got a point tho booing in public is never cool, but the way spurs fans reacted was super harsh...like what would u do if u were him πŸ˜” anyway, frank's right, gotta stay focused on ur game and not get distracted by the crowd. fulham deserved that win tho, silva's team looked solid πŸ’ͺπŸ½πŸ‘

omg u gotta feel bad 4 guglielmo vicario tho 😞 he made some huge mistakes but the fans were super harsh 🀯 i mean, i get it, we all want our team 2 win but booing him in public was harsh πŸ’” especially when frank is trying 2 rally the squad around him πŸ‘Š the italian keeper might need a bit more support from his teammates & management 🀝

πŸ€” gotta say, that 2 mistakes from Vicario were huge and you can't just trash the guy like that 🚫😬. I mean, I know Tottenham's had some tough losses this season but booing him in public? That's just gonna make it harder for them to get back on track πŸ’”. And what's with all the finger-pointing at fans? They're the ones who are supposed to be supporting their team, not tearing them down πŸ‘Ž. It feels like Frank is taking it out on his players and the fans, which isn't going to help the team's morale πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. Still, gotta give Fulham credit for a solid win 😊.

I don't think it's right to blame fans for booing Vicario πŸ€”... I mean, come on, two mistakes in six minutes? You can't be expecting Tottenham fans to go wild when their keeper makes that many errors πŸ˜…. It's not like they're being unfair or cruel, just frustrated. And Frank's got a point about supporting the team, but maybe if we were winning instead of losing 2-0, it'd be different πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ... still, gotta feel for Vicario, poor guy didn't get any love from the Spurs faithful πŸ˜”.

Frank's right that booing is part of football, but you can't deny it's also a reflection of how bad things are going ⚽️. I'd rather see some constructive criticism and honest feedback than just blind loyalty 🀝... not saying all Spurs fans were being harsh or anything, but it's about time we got some accountability from the players πŸ‘Š.
