Patriots injuries: New England still playing waiting game with Mack Hollins’ health

The New England Patriots are facing an uncertain future with their top receiving weapon, Mack Hollins, still on the sidelines due to an abdominal injury. The 6-foot-4 receiver has been a reliable pass-catching target for Drake Maye, reeling in 46 catches for 550 yards and two touchdowns.

Hollins' potential return on Sunday at Empower Field at Mile High would be a welcome sight for New England, but it seems the team is taking things slowly. Coach Mike Vrabel stated that Hollins won't be cleared to practice anytime soon, citing "no intention" of having him back on the field today.

The Patriots' injury report reads like a laundry list of ailments, with several players dealing with various issues, including Landry's knee and Mapu's hip. However, the team is not entirely without options, as Stefon Diggs believes Kyle Williams and Efton Chism III can step up to fill the void left by Hollins' absence.

"We've all been waiting for Mack," Diggs said, his voice laced with enthusiasm. "When we see Mack, everybody is happy to see Mack. Mack has that infectious energy... If we get him back, that'd be great."

While Hollins' return would undoubtedly boost the Patriots' chances, Davis, the veteran cornerback, may also make a much-needed appearance on Sunday, despite his concussion. The two-player dynamic will likely play a significant role in determining the team's success.

As for Hollins, patience seems to be the name of the game, with Vrabel stating that there won't be an update today regarding his status. With both Hollins and Davis potentially returning to the lineup soon, New England can only hope their receiving corps comes together seamlessly to take on Denver in the AFC championship game.

For now, the Patriots are playing waiting games, relying on backup plans and players stepping up to fill voids left by injured teammates.

Mack Hollins is such a big deal for the Patriots 🤔... without him they're kinda lost out there, you feel? 💔 It's like, Stefon Diggs is hyping up about Kyle Williams and Efton Chism III stepping up, but we all know how it goes - backup plans never quite work out as smoothly as expected 😐. And then there's Davis, who's still dealing with that concussion... hopefully he'll be good to go by Sunday 💪. For now, the Patriots are just trying to piece things together 🧮. They need Hollins back ASAP to get their receiving corps on track ⏱️.

Man 🤔, I feel like this is gonna be a tough game for the Pats without Mack Hollins out 🤕. He's such a reliable target for Drake Maye, and with several other injuries on the team, it's hard to know who's gonna step up to fill the void ⚖️. Stefon Diggs seems like a good dude to have faith in, though 💡 - he believes Kyle Williams and Efton Chism III can hold it down until Hollins is back 🤞. Fingers crossed Mack gets cleared soon so they can all get on the field together 🌟... that energy would be lit 🔥!

Ugh, my layout is all messed up today 🤦‍♂️... anyway, so I'm watching this Patriots game and Mack Hollins is out 🤕... it's like, can't they just give him some clarity on when he's coming back? ⏰ Coach Vrabel is being super vague about his return 🙅‍♂️... meanwhile, Stefon Diggs thinks Kyle Williams and Efton Chism III are stepping up to fill the void 💪... I guess it's one of those things where you just gotta wait and see how it all plays out ⏳️. The Patriots' injury report is like a laundry list of ills 😩, but hey, at least they've got backup plans 📝... fingers crossed their receiving corps comes together smoothly when Mack does come back 💫.

Ugh I'm so bummed about Mack Hollins' injury 😞💔, but at least Stefon Diggs is confident in Kyle Williams and Efton Chism III 🙌🏼👍! Those guys better step up if they wanna help the team move forward 🔥. Coach Vrabel's being super cautious with Hollins, which I get, but it'd be awesome to see him back on the field ASAP 💪🏼🔮. Meanwhile, Davis' possible return is also giving me hope 😃👀. Let's just hope the receiving corps comes together smoothly and brings home that AFC championship title 🏆💥 #PatriotsNation #FingersCrossed #MackHollins #StefonDiggs #NFCChampionship
