Man oh man, I'm getting old ... remember when we used to have to physically get tickets to a Broadway show or wait in line for hours just to get one? Nowadays it's like they're throwing freebies all over the place . And what's with these new-fangled 'sweepstakes' and contests? Back in my day, we didn't need no stinkin' apps to enter a contest, we just had to show up and be in the right place at the right time .

And have you seen these 'Exploratorium Adventures in AI' events? That sounds like something straight out of a sci-fi movie... what's next, robots doing backflips on stage? . Give me the old days any day, when we just enjoyed the simple things in life, like watching a great show or playing some good ol' fashioned sports ball ️.

I feel so grateful to see all these talented people winning amazing experiences ! It just goes to show that life is full of surprises and good things can happen when you least expect them. For me, I've always believed that age doesn't matter, and I think Maricarmen from Campbell (25) and Margaret from Menlo Park (60) prove that point . Anyway, it's lovely to see all these contests and promotions out there, giving people a chance to live their dreams or at least experience something special for a day

But, I have to fact-check some dates... 'A Beautiful Noise' started in Nov 2024, not Nov 2025. And Cirque du Soleil's 'Echo' ended in Jan 2024, not Feb 2025.

ugh, what a great time to be in the bay area! it feels like every month has some amazing event or contest going on - i'm loving how abc7 is giving everyone a chance to experience these incredible shows and events. personally, i've been trying to get tickets to 'echo' at the exploratorium for ages, so fingers crossed that next month's winner will be me! samuel v and sophia e must be living their best lives with all those ai exhibits to play around with... anyway, anyone else excited about the harlem globetrotters coming to town? ️

Ugh, can you even believe the luck some people have?! Maricarmen L. won tickets to 'A Beautiful Noise' and is basically living her Broadway dream... meanwhile, I was stuck at home with a bad cold last November . And don't even get me started on Samuel V. and Sophia E.'s Exploratorium Adventures in AI - they got to play around with AI exhibits while I'm over here still trying to figure out how to use my smart speaker .

And then there's the fact that some people are raking it in, like Margaret I., who scored tickets to the 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular... what's even more infuriating is that I'll probably never get to experience something like that because life just isn't treating me that way .

I swear, sometimes it feels like I'm stuck in a never-ending cycle of disappointment and frustration . But hey, at least some people are having fun and making the most of their wins... congrats to all the winners out there !

I don't know... I mean, I think it's kinda cool that people are winning tickets to these shows and events . But at the same time, I'm like, isn't it weird that we're still relying on random contests and sweepstakes for entertainment? Like, shouldn't we be supporting our local theaters and museums more directly?
