The Switch 2 version of Super Mario Bros. Wonder arrives on March 26

Nintendo is gearing up for the arrival of Super Mario Bros. Wonder on the Nintendo Switch 2, and it's not just a single new game – but an upgraded version that includes a host of exciting features and improvements.

The revamped edition, aptly titled Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park, is set to launch on March 26. As part of the upgrade, players who own the original Switch version will be able to purchase an enhancement pack for $20, which promises to bring a fresh wave of content and gameplay enhancements.

Among the key new features, cooperative play takes center stage. For the first time in the series, players can team up with friends to tackle challenges in multiplayer modes, including coin collection competitions. A dedicated area called Bellabel Park will serve as the hub for these multiplayer activities, offering a range of local versus modes, co-op play, and even support for GameShare-enabled online multiplayer.

The revamped game also includes 17 new cooperative and versus modes, allowing players to enjoy seamless local multiplayer experiences on the same console or via wireless connectivity. The Game Room Plaza supports up to six players locally and online, with an impressive local wireless feature that lets up to eight people join in on the fun.

Beyond multiplayer excitement, Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition also brings new content to the main game itself. Players will get access to a host of fresh challenges, including boss courses featuring all seven Koopalings and even the opportunity to play as Rosalina for the first time. A new 'Luma' assist feature allows a second player to control Luma, helping out their main player with enemy defeats and coin collection.

To make the game more accessible to all players, Nintendo is also introducing an Assist Mode that enables quick recoveries from falls and protects against damage. This clever system ensures that no one gets left behind – even if they're struggling a bit.

The upgrade will also bring three brand-new amiibo figures: Elephant Mario, Poplin & Prince Florian, and Captain Toad & Talking Flower, which can be obtained on the same day as the upgraded edition's release.

Interestingly, Nintendo has also announced that it will begin selling a battery-powered version of the Talking Flower from Super Mario Bros. Wonder – called the 'Talking Flower', – starting March 12. This adorable device talks to you every couple of hours, reminding you of your surroundings and even playing music. With support for 11 languages, this little gadget has all the makings of an endearing companion.

Overall, Super Mario Bros. Wonder on the Nintendo Switch 2 promises to deliver a fresh wave of gameplay excitement and accessibility, making it an exciting addition to the beloved Mario franchise.

🤔 So they're revamping the game with multiplayer features? That's cool, but can we talk about how annoying it is that they're doing this on the Switch 2 and not just releasing a simple update for the original Switch? Like, if I've got my console set up just so, now I have to deal with all these extra modes and whatnot. And what's up with the price of the enhancement pack? $20 seems like a lot, especially when you consider that we already pay enough to upgrade our consoles. 😒

🤩 Can't wait for March 26th to roll around so I can finally experience all the bells and whistles of Super Mario Bros. Wonder on my shiny new Switch 2... I mean, who doesn't love a good power-up, right? 😏 I'm particularly stoked about the new multiplayer modes, it's long overdue for some friendly competition with friends. And let's be real, having up to eight players join in on the fun wirelessly is just straight fire 🔥. The fact that Nintendo is also making an Assist Mode and Luma assist feature means we can finally enjoy the game without getting frustrated with those pesky Koopaling bosses 🤣. Can't wait to get my hands (and wallet) on those new amiibo figures too, who doesn't love a cute talking flower?

omg I'm so stoked about the new Super Mario Bros. Wonder update 🤩! Growing up playing the original Switch version, I'm loving the fact that we get to experience some fresh multiplayer modes - local versus is a total blast with friends and fam 👫👯. And I mean, who doesn't want to play as Rosalina for the first time? 😊 The new Luma assist feature sounds super helpful too, no one should be left behind when playing with friends! 🤝

I'm also loving that Nintendo is thinking about accessibility - the Assist Mode and battery-powered Talking Flower are great touches. I mean, who wouldn't want a little gadget to remind them of their surroundings every now and then? 😆 It's like having a little buddy in your pocket!

One thing I'm wondering is how much this upgrade will change up the gameplay itself... do they think we'll be able to get some new levels or something? 🤔 Either way, it sounds like Nintendo has put some serious thought into making this game more fun and inclusive for everyone. Bring on March 26! 🎉

I'm loving the idea of having co-op play in Super Mario Bros. Wonder 🤩! Growing up, we didn't have all these fancy multiplayer features on consoles... it was all about competing against each other's high scores 😂. This new feature is gonna be a game-changer (no pun intended) for families and friends who wanna play together. The new 'Luma' assist feature sounds super helpful too 🤝, I mean who doesn't love having a helping hand in those tough boss battles? And the battery-powered Talking Flower amiibo is just... adorable 🐰💬! Can you imagine having that little guy reminding you to collect coins all day? 😂

And the fact that they're including more challenges and gameplay enhancements is just a bonus. I love how they're making the game more accessible to everyone too, with that Assist Mode feature 🙌. But, can't help but feel a bit frustrated that we have to pay extra for it... I mean, who doesn't want all those new features from day one? Still, I'm stoked to get my hands on this upgraded edition and show off my gaming skills to friends 👊.

Just got my hands on some info about Super Mario Bros. Wonder - not impressed by the price of that enhancement pack tho $20 seems like way too much for just some extra content 🤑. I mean, I'm hyped for the multiplayer features and all but come on Nintendo, can't you just give us a free update or something? And what's up with the new amiibo figures? Elephant Mario? Really? That thing looks more like a plush toy than an actual figurine 😂. On the bright side, that battery-powered Talking Flower is kinda cool, I might just have to cop that 🤔

🤔 just saw that they're releasing a new pack for original switch owners 🤑 and now we get to play with friends online too 🎮 can't wait to see how this is gonna shake up the multiplayer scene 😃

The impending release of Super Mario Bros. Wonder on the Nintendo Switch 2 is generating considerable enthusiasm among gamers 🎮. The revamped edition promises to breathe new life into the classic game with its suite of innovative features, including cooperative play and enhanced multiplayer modes. The integration of Bellabel Park as a dedicated hub for local versus modes, co-op play, and GameShare-enabled online multiplayer is particularly noteworthy 🤝.

One aspect that stands out is Nintendo's commitment to accessibility, as evidenced by the introduction of an Assist Mode that safeguards players from damage and facilitates quick recoveries. This thoughtful feature ensures that all players can participate and enjoy the game without fear of frustration or exclusion 😊.

Furthermore, the inclusion of new amiibo figures and the battery-powered Talking Flower companion is a delightful touch, further solidifying Nintendo's reputation for creative and engaging entertainment options 🎨. With its focus on accessibility, social interaction, and immersive gameplay, Super Mario Bros. Wonder on the Nintendo Switch 2 has all the makings of an exciting addition to the beloved Mario franchise 🌟

I'm telling you, something fishy is going down with this new Super Mario Bros. Wonder update 🤔. First off, $20 for just an upgrade pack? That's like nickel-and-diming us, if you ask me 😒. And what's up with all these extra multiplayer modes? Is Nintendo trying to get people hooked on online gaming and lose their skills in the original game? 🎮

And have you seen those new amiibo figures? Elephant Mario is a total cop-out – who wants an elephant version of Mario?! 🐘 It's just a cash-grab to sell more merchandise. I bet you'll see some exclusive content only available for the people who buy the upgrade pack... or the special edition Talking Flower 💸.

And that little battery-powered flower thingy? Don't get me wrong, it sounds adorable at first, but mark my words – it's just a clever way to collect our personal data and sell more ads 📊. Nintendo's trying to take over our lives with their Mario games... I'm onto you, big guys! 👀

🎉 I'm super hyped for the new Super Mario Bros. Wonder game! The addition of cooperative play is gonna be so much fun with friends and family 🤩. And can we talk about how cool the new Luma assist feature is? 😍 It's like having a built-in teammate to help you out. Plus, the new Assist Mode is super thoughtful, making sure everyone can enjoy the game regardless of their skill level ❤️. I'm also loving the new amiibo figures and the battery-powered Talking Flower - it sounds like such a cute companion! 🐰💬 The only thing that's got me a bit excited (and worried) is that there might be some online multiplayer lag issues since it's coming out on March 26 🤔. Fingers crossed they iron those kinks out! 😊

can't wait for the new super mario bros wonder but i'm not sure if $20 is worth it just for an enhancement pack 🤔💸 i mean, it's cool that they're adding more multiplayer features and new content, but is it really enough to justify the extra cost? on the other hand, the game room plaza with up to 8 players online sounds like so much fun 😄👥 and who wouldn't want a talking flower as a companion 🤣💬

omg u gotta love nintendo's move to revamp the classic game with multiplayer & coop features 🤩🎮 they're basically making it for us non-competitive gamers lol who doesn't want to team up with their friends to collect coins tho? 🤑 also the new 'Luma' assist feature is a genius idea, i mean who doesn't love having an extra set of hands in battle 😆 & that Talking Flower thingy sounds like a fun little gadget, can't wait to cop it 3 amiibo figures tho 🤔 elephant mario looks fire 👍

I'm low-key hyped for this! 🤩 The new multiplayer features are gonna make the game so much fun with friends. I love that they're adding more accessible modes, like Assist Mode, so everyone can play together without feeling left behind. That's really thoughtful of Nintendo 👍. But, gotta say, I'm a bit skeptical about the battery-powered Talking Flower thingy... 🤔 Is it just a novelty or is there actual substance to it? Only time will tell! 🕰️
