This Isn’t the First Killing by ICE — and It Won’t Be the Last

A Cold-Blooded Killing by ICE Agents: Another Devastating Example of the Agency's Unchecked Power.

In a chilling incident that has only served to reinforce the notion that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is a force to be reckoned with, a federal agent shot and killed a woman in Minneapolis on Wednesday. The victim, identified as a legal observer, was attempting to drive away from the scene of an ICE raid when she was struck by multiple bullets.

This latest atrocity serves as a grim reminder that ICE's actions are not only illegal but also often fatal. Since January last year, federal agents have shot people 14 times, killing at least four, and on numerous occasions, officers have shot at people observing ICE raids and attempting to drive away.

What is particularly disturbing about this incident is the way in which it has been spun by the government. According to officials, the ICE agent who fired the fatal shots was acting in self-defense, claiming that the victim had tried to run over them with her car. However, eyewitness accounts paint a very different picture - one of an ICE agent reaching across the hood of the vehicle and shooting multiple times into the windshield.

This kind of rhetoric is all too familiar when it comes to ICE's actions. The agency has long been plagued by allegations of brutality, from beatings and arrests to arbitrary detentions and deportations. And yet, despite these abuses, ICE agents have consistently managed to avoid accountability.

But this latest killing serves as a stark reminder that the demand for justice is not just about holding individual agents accountable but also about dismantling the system itself. As long as ICE continues to operate with impunity, it will continue to terrorize communities and perpetuate systemic racism.

It's time for us to take to the streets, organize our workplaces, and orient our daily practices around the demand that ICE be abolished once and for all. Anything less would be a betrayal of those who have been victimized by this agency's brutal actions.

omg u gotta believe this 1 ICE agent just killed some lady in minneapolis like she was tryna escape an raid 🤯😱 and now the gov is tryin to spin it as self defense lol what a joke! eyewitnesses say otherwise tho - that ice agent just reached out the window & shot her car like she was a threat 🚗💀. i mean we all know ICE has a history of brutality but this is just sadistic 🤖. they gotta be held accountable for this kinda thing. it's time 2 take action, u feel? 🌟

man thats so messed up 🤯 what kinda world are we living in where ice agents feel like they can just shoot people and get away with it? i've been reading about this stuff for years and its getting to be too much its not just about the killings its about the way they treat people like criminals before even arresting them dont they have some sort of mental health screening or something for these people they gotta know whats going on in that head before sending someone out there with a gun? and another thing what happens to the families of those killed by ice agents do they get any kind of justice or compensation its all so messed up

ICE is literally making me want to lose my mind 🤯! First off, it's just so reckless how they're executing these raids and then trying to cover their own behinds with BS excuses like "self-defense" 🙄. Newsflash: when you're armed with guns and a badge, that's not self-defense, that's plain ol' aggression!

And can we talk about the fact that ICE agents have killed at least 4 people already this year alone? That's just insane! It's like they think they're above the law or something. 🚔

We need to take action ASAP and make our voices heard! It's time for us to stand up against this agency's abusive behavior and demand that it comes to an end. We can't keep letting them get away with this kind of systemic racism and brutality 💪.

I'm so sick of the government trying to spin these incidents as if they're some kind of tragic accident 🤦‍♂️. It's time for real change, not just empty apologies and PR stunts!

omg what's going on with ice?? 😱 they're literally killing ppl left and right like they think they're above the law or something 🤯 and yeah no one should be able to just claim self defense when they've got witnesses saying otherwise 🙅‍♂️ this is so not okay. we need to take action, organize our communities, get rid of ice for good 💪 it's time to stand up for those who have been victimized by their brutal actions 💕

🚨👮‍♂️ just thinking about this is giving me so much anxiety... it's like, what even is the point of having laws if we're gonna let agents get away with killing people over something as petty as a raid? 🤯 i mean, i'm not saying these agents are angels or anything, but come on, 14 times they've shot people in the past year alone! 🚨 that's just straight-up insane. and don't even get me started on how the gov is trying to spin this one... "self-defense" my eye 👀 like, what even does that mean when it's clearly not? 😒 anyway, i think this whole thing just highlights how messed up our system is. we need to take a hard look at ICE and figure out why we're still letting them run wild. 🤔 abolish the agency once and for all is what some people are saying... and honestly, can't agree more 💯

man i cant even process what happened in minneapolis 🤯 that ice agent is literally a monster we need to take action ASAP no more excuses, no more apologies for the system that lets this kind of thing happen 14 times now and 4 people dead it's getting outta control we gotta make some noise, organize our communities, and demand an end to ice once and for all 💪🏽💥

Ugh 😱 my heart is literally breaking reading about this woman being shot by an ICE agent trying to escape from the raid. it's just not right 🙅‍♀️ how can they justify killing someone in self-defense when that's clearly not what happened? and it's not like we haven't seen this kind of thing happen before... 14 people have been killed by ICE agents since last year alone 😩 my outrage is boiling over and I don't even know where to start. we need to take action, but how can we trust our government to do the right thing? 🤔

🚨 just saw this news about an innocent woman getting shot by an ICE agent in Minneapolis 🤯 can't believe how much power these agents are given without any real accountability... it's like they're above the law 💔 and it's not just this one incident, there have been so many others where people have gotten hurt or killed for trying to stand up for their rights 🚫. we need to keep pushing for ICE to be abolished once and for all 👊

ICE needs to seriously rethink its whole "self-defense" excuse 🤷‍♂️ I mean come on, eyewitnesses said the woman was trying to drive away from the scene not attack anyone. And what's with all these agents shooting people? Like 14 times since last year? That's just ridiculous 😳 We need better training and less trigger-happy agents. And the way ICE spins this stuff is always so dodgy, it's like they're trying to spin a web of lies 🕸️

🤕 I'm so worried about these innocent people getting hurt like that... it's just not right. I feel like we're living in a police state or something 😱. ICE is supposed to be protecting our communities, not putting them in harm's way. The way the agent justified shooting her is messed up - it doesn't sound like self-defense at all 🚫. We need to stand up for what's right and demand accountability from these agents. Abolishing ICE altogether is the only way to make sure this kind of thing never happens again 💪.

The government is really trying to spin this one again 🙄, like it was self-defense or something? No way, dude! Multiple eyewitnesses say the ICE agent just stepped out of their truck and started shooting. That's not "self-defense", that's straight-up murder 😡. And don't even get me started on how they're trying to cover this up. I mean, come on, a woman gets shot and killed in front of multiple people, and suddenly it's all about the agent being threatened with their life? Please 🙄.

And let's not forget, this is just another example of ICE's culture of fear and intimidation. They're always trying to terrorize people into compliance, and when someone stands up for themselves or tries to protect others, they get shot 💀. It's not about accountability, it's about taking away people's basic human rights 🤷‍♀️.

We need to organize and make some noise, you know? ICE has to go 🚫. They're a cancer on our society, and we can't just sit back and let them continue to terrorize communities. We need to stand up for justice and human rights, no matter what 💪.

I'm so sad about what happened in Minneapolis 🤕... it's just not right that someone lost their life like that. I don't think the gov official story is adding up, you know? The eyewitness accounts are telling a different story here. We need to be careful about how we talk about this stuff, 'cause it can get real intense and emotional.

For me, it's all about taking action against ICE, ya know? They're like a big ol' machine that's just sucking up people and causing so much harm. I think we need to organize and make some noise if we want to bring about change. We can't just sit back and do nothing when people are getting hurt.

I've seen some of the footage from the raid, it's just horrific 😱... all those people trapped in this tiny space, being poked and prodded and scared outta their wits. It's like something outta a bad movie.

We need to start talking about abolition, not just reform 🤝... we can't keep trying to fix the same broken system over and over again. We gotta tear it down and start from scratch. I'm all in for that 💪

omg did u hear about that woman in minneapolis who got shot by ice agents?? 🤯 i mean i know we've seen some crazy stuff with ice before, but like 14 times they've shot people in the past year?!?! that's just insane to me. i don't think it's fair that they're trying to make it look like she was attacking them or something... eyewitnesses said it was clear the woman was trying to drive away from the raid and that ice agent was reaching out to shoot her. ugh why do we have to keep dealing with this kind of thing? isn't it time for ice to be abolished already?! 🚫💔 i mean i know it's easy to say but like what can we actually do to stop it?

omg u gotta see this news 🤯 ICE agents are literally killing ppl and getting away with it! like, what's the point of even having laws if they're just gonna ignore them? 🙄 this latest incident in Minneapolis is just another example of how these agents think they're above the law. and the government's all "oh no, agent was in self-defense" but eyewitnesses are saying otherwise 🤷‍♀️ it's so frustrating when we know that ICE's actions are wrong but there's nothing being done about it 💔

😔 this latest incident is just another example of how broken the system is when it comes to holding people in power accountable. I mean, think about it, if an ICE agent can just shoot someone trying to escape from a raid and claim self-defense, that's basically carte blanche for anyone in authority to do whatever they want with no consequences. It's like the government is saying "we'll protect our own" but what about the people who get hurt or killed in the process? 🤬

And it's not just about the individual agent this time, it's about the system as a whole. ICE has a history of abuse and corruption that goes all the way to the top. The fact that they can just keep getting away with it is a slap in the face to everyone who values justice and human rights. We need to take action now, not just to hold individual agents accountable, but to dismantle this entire system altogether. It's time for us to demand an end to ICE and all the other agencies that perpetuate systemic racism and brutality. 💪

🚨ICE needs to change its ways ASAP. This latest incident is just another example of how their 'tough love' approach is really just a thinly veiled excuse for brutal suppression. They're playing the victim card, but the truth is, they're the ones who should be held accountable for their actions. We need systemic change, not just empty apologies 🤕.

😕 This is just heartbreaking! I'm still trying to process what happened in Minneapolis. It feels like every time we turn around, there's another devastating story about ICE's unchecked power. The fact that they're claiming self-defense when it's clear the woman was trying to escape a raid is mind-boggling. 🤯 How many more lives need to be lost before we take action? I'm so tired of hearing about people getting hurt or killed because they were just trying to protect their communities. We can't keep ignoring this and expecting things to change on their own. It's time for us to come together and demand justice, not just for the victims but for the system that allows these atrocities to happen. 🤝
