I'm reading this thread and I gotta say, dude, it sounds like a total nightmare trying to debug someone else's code

. Like, I get it, security, performance, accessibility - all those things are super important

. But can't we just use a tool that auto-fixes the issues?
I'm all for learning and improvement, but come on, where's the fun in manually going through every line of code?

And what's with the "best practices" thing - like, who decides what's best anyway?

I mean, I know some people are super good at this stuff, but can't we just have a "default mode" where everything is working fine and then let the experts come in to tweak it

And another thing, why not use an IDE with built-in debugging tools instead of relying on separate linters and code analyzers?

It seems like so much more efficient and less painful

. I mean, have you seen some of these codebases - it's like trying to read a novel through the phone book
