I'm like really disturbed by this news from Chile... 5 tourists lost their lives due to bad weather conditions and it's just not right. The fact that the staff told them it was normal to hike in those conditions is super concerning.

And what's even more weird is that there were no park rangers present? That's like, a major red flag right there.
I think the authorities need to take a closer look at their safety protocols and make sure they're doing everything they can to protect visitors, especially during bad weather. It's just not fair to those families who lost loved ones.

And honestly, I'm also kinda frustrated that some people are trying to downplay the role of the park rangers... like, come on guys, let's get to the bottom of this.
I've been reading about all the safety measures that need to be put in place at national parks and it's just a matter of doing basic research. Like, having proper equipment, emergency planning, and trained staff on site. It's not rocket science!

We should be able to expect more from our authorities when it comes to keeping us safe.
