Survivor of Chilean blizzard that killed Briton says staff told trekkers they could proceed

🌪️ I'm like really disturbed by this news from Chile... 5 tourists lost their lives due to bad weather conditions and it's just not right. The fact that the staff told them it was normal to hike in those conditions is super concerning. 🤯 And what's even more weird is that there were no park rangers present? That's like, a major red flag right there.

I think the authorities need to take a closer look at their safety protocols and make sure they're doing everything they can to protect visitors, especially during bad weather. It's just not fair to those families who lost loved ones. 💔 And honestly, I'm also kinda frustrated that some people are trying to downplay the role of the park rangers... like, come on guys, let's get to the bottom of this.

I've been reading about all the safety measures that need to be put in place at national parks and it's just a matter of doing basic research. Like, having proper equipment, emergency planning, and trained staff on site. It's not rocket science! 🤓 We should be able to expect more from our authorities when it comes to keeping us safe. 👏

omg this is such a disaster 🤕 what's even more shocking is that park staff said adverse weather conditions were normal and that groups could still proceed with their hike without any additional safety precautions... i mean, come on! 💡 shouldn't they have had more rangers on site? 🚨 the lack of emergency planning and equipment was just insane 😵 i'm so glad those medics were there to save everyone's lives though... their bravery is honestly admirable 💪
