Bears coach Ben Johnson stays coy about return of CBs Jaylon Johnson, Kyler Gordon

Bears Coach Ben Johnson is Keeping Quiet on Cornerbacks' Return

Coach Ben Johnson of the Chicago Bears will have to wait a bit longer for his answer on whether cornerbacks Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon are coming off injured reserve for Friday's game against the Eagles. When asked directly, Johnson responded with a casual "We'll know soon enough."

Both Johnsons were full participants in practice on Wednesday, but Tyrique Stevenson, who has been nursing a hip injury, remained out of action. C.J. Gardner-Johnson might have inadvertently hinted that Gordon would get a chance to shine if he's activated this week, as the Eagles' receiving corps is considered one of the best.

Johnson suffered an adductor muscle tear in July and had surgery for a separate groin injury in Week 2. On the other hand, Gordon has played just two games so far this season due to hamstring and calf injuries that put him on injured reserve after their first game together.

In other news, it appears Theo Benedet may not be getting his starting left tackle job back immediately, as he practiced in full on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the trio of T.J. Edwards (hand/hamstring), Ruben Hyppolite II (shoulder), and Noah Sewell (elbow) are still out with injuries.

The Bears' injury report has also seen a few changes, including defensive tackle Gervon Dexter being added to the list due to a hand injury. Guard Luke Newman and defensive end Dominique Robinson remain out due to foot and concussion issues respectively.

Lastly, Eagles receiver DeVonta Smith is nursing an illness-related absence along with shoulder and chest injuries that prevented him from practicing on Wednesday.

I'm getting so done with these injuries already 😩. Coach Johnson's "we'll know soon enough" response isn't exactly giving us much hope, you know? Like, can't we just get a straight answer for once?! πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ And what's up with all the players who are still out injured? It's like they're waiting for Christmas morning or something. πŸŽ…πŸΌ Anyway, I'm still rooting for Jaylon and Kyler to get back on the field - those cornerbacks can bring some serious heat! πŸ”₯

omg u guys, i'm like soooo hyped for the bears game this wkend 🀩! coach ben johnson's being super tight lipped about jaylon & kyler returning tho πŸ˜’... i get it, gotta make sure they're 100% or he'd be crazy not to πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ. meanwhile, c.j. gardner-johnson is giving me vibes that kyler's gonna see some action if he gets activated 🀞... and omg, theo benedet might NOT be starting left tackle anymore? 😲 what's going on with all these injuries?! πŸ’” t.j., ruben, noah, & gervon are still out... fingers crossed for those guys to get back ASAP πŸ€—. eagles receiver devonta smith is dealing with an illness tho... hope he recovers soon! πŸ€’

Ugh, what's up with the Bears' coaching staff? Can't they just give us some straight answers for once? πŸ™„ Coach Johnson keeps saying we'll know soon enough about Jaylon and Kyler's return, but when are we going to get some clarity?! 😩 I'm getting impatient. And what's the deal with Tyrique Stevenson being out of practice again? Is he really that bad at hiding his injuries? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

omg I'm so curious about what's going on with the Bears' cornerbacks πŸ€”! it seems like Jaylon and Kyler are making progress but not quite ready for game day 🏈, which is kinda disappointing since C.J. hinted that Kyler might get some playing time if they're activated πŸ˜…. I'm also worried about T.J. Edwards and Ruben Hyppolite II's injuries, fingers crossed they recover soon πŸ’ͺ. on a related note, have you seen the Eagles' receiving corps? πŸ”₯πŸ‘€ that C.J. mentioned would give Kyler some playing time is straight fire πŸ”₯! Ben Johnson better come clean about his plans for Friday 🀞

omg u guys i think the bears r actually doin somethin rite by not announcin who's comin off injured reserve 2 days b4 the game it gives them a chance 2 make a more strategic decission about who plays instead of just wingin it i mean c j gardner johnson might be hyping up kyler gordon 2 get him more reps but idk if its gonna happen lol

I'm kinda surprised Ben Johnson isn't giving us a straight answer about the cornerbacks πŸ€”. I mean, we've seen both Jaylon and Kyler in practice, which is awesome! But we need some clarity on when they'll be back on the field. It's not like the Bears are going to get a huge boost from C.J.'s comments... or so it seems 😏. Maybe he was just trying to say they'll play when they're ready? I'm not buying that there won't be some competition for those spots, though πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. The fact that Stevenson is still out and Tyrique hasn't been practicing yet suggests something might be brewing. Bring on the suspense! πŸ‘€

omg i'm literally so confused about the bears' injury situation 🀯🏈 like ben johnson is being super vague about the jaylon & kyler return πŸ™„ and tyrique stevenson's hip injury just left me all shook up πŸ˜‚ meanwhile theo benedet is still practicing in full but not getting his starting spot back? what's good with that?! πŸ€”

πŸ€” It's quite fascinating how Coach Ben Johnson is choosing to keep mum about the return of his cornerbacks 🦊 Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon. One can't help but feel a sense of trepidation, wondering if their absences might disrupt the team's defensive strategy against the Eagles' potent receiving corps πŸ’₯. Meanwhile, it seems like Tyrique Stevenson's injury is taking longer to recover from than initially anticipated πŸ€•. On a related note, it would be intriguing to see C.J. Gardner-Johnson get some playing time and shine under the spotlight πŸ”¦. The Bears' injury report does seem quite extensive, with several key players still nursing injuries πŸ‘

idk if coach ben johnson's lack of answers is a good thing... πŸ€” i mean, i get it, he wants to keep the team motivated and all that, but some info is better than no info, right? especially when it comes to injuries and who's gonna play friday. like, we know c.j. gardner-johnson said something about kyler gordon getting a chance if he's activated, so yeah, let's get the tea already! πŸ’β€β™€οΈ

I don’t usually comment but... I think it’s kinda funny how Coach Johnson is being all cryptic about the cornerbacks' return πŸ€”πŸ‘€. He's like, "We'll know soon enough" – sounds like he's trying to keep us on our toes πŸ˜‚! On a more serious note, if C.J. Gardner-Johnson is hinting at Kyler Gordon getting playing time, that would be awesome for the team 🀞. The Eagles' receiver corps is definitely one of the best, so it'd be great to see Gordon take advantage of that πŸ’ͺ.

πŸ€” Ugh, coaches just don't give us straight answers anymore πŸ™„... I mean, come on Coach Johnson, can't you just tell us if the CBs are coming back or not? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ "We'll know soon enough" isn't exactly reassuring πŸ˜…. And what's with all these injuries?! πŸ€• First Jaylon Johnson, then Kyler Gordon... it's like they're just gonna hold them out forever 😩. And now this about Theo Benedet not getting his starting job back? πŸ€” is he even still on the team? πŸ™ƒ and don't even get me started on Gervon Dexter being added to the injury list, I mean what happened?! πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Can't we just have a clear picture of who's healthy and who's not? πŸ“Š It's so frustrating! 😩

I think Coach Ben Johnson should be more open about the cornerbacks' return πŸ€”. A "we'll know soon enough" answer isn't exactly reassuring for fans who are still waiting to see their guys get back on the field. Plus, if C.J. Gardner-Johnson is saying that Kyler Gordon might get a chance to shine, shouldn't he at least give us some kind of hint about whether it's gonna happen? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ I mean, it's not like the cornerbacks are the only ones who can make an impact on defense...

omg I'm so hyped for the game this Friday!!! can't wait to see Jaylon & Kyler back on the field 🀞🏼πŸ’ͺπŸ‘! Coach Ben Johnson better give us some updates tho, we need all the info we can get πŸ˜‚! love that C.J. said something about Gordon getting a chance to shine, I'm lowkey shipping them together πŸ’•πŸ˜˜

πŸ€” I'm not buying it when coaches say we'll "know soon enough" about injured players coming back... seems like a cop-out to me πŸ™„. Both Jaylon and Kyler were in full practice, but still no timeline? Give us some real answers, Coach Ben! πŸ’― And what's with Tyrique Stevenson being out? Shouldn't he be the one getting back on the field ASAP? 😬

This whole thing is like the Bears' O-line situation - always something's gonna break down 🀯! Coach Johnson needs to give us some clarity on these guys' statuses, or it's just gonna be another week of guessing games. And what's with all these injuries? It's like they're trying to make the Eagles look stronger than usual 😏. Maybe C.J. Gardner-Johnson is right - if Kyler Gordon gets a chance, he can show us what he's got. But at the same time, we need to know who's truly healthy and ready to contribute. It's all about making the best decisions for the team, just like the politicians do in Washington 🀝...I mean, who wants to make a move on Friday with so many unknowns? Better to be safe than sorry!

OMG, can't wait for those cornerbacks to get back in the game 🀞! Stats show that Jaylon Johnson has been pretty solid this season, avg 7 catches/ game & 94 yards receiving, while Kyler Gordon's got the speed, averaging 18.5 yards/catch πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ. On the other hand, Eagles' receivers are looking strong, with DeVonta Smith averaging 78 yards/receiving game... might be an interesting matchup! πŸ‘€

Also, did you see that C.J. Gardner-Johnson basically hinted at Kyler Gordon getting more playing time? πŸ€” Stats show that Gordon's got a high ceiling, avg 12 targets/game & 7 receptions. If he's activated, it could be a game-changer for the Bears! πŸ”„

Fun fact: did you know that the average NFL corner has been injured in 25% of their games this season? 😲 Guess the Bears' corner situation is getting pretty intense...

πŸ€” I'm kinda curious why Coach Ben Johnson isn't giving us any straight answers about the cornerbacks' return πŸ™„. Like, we get it, you don't want to jinx them or anything, but a simple "yes" or "no" would be nice πŸ˜…. And what's with all these injuries on both teams? It's like they're trying to make the games more exciting πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. But hey, at least C.J. Gardner-Johnson is giving us some hints about Kyler Gordon getting a chance to shine πŸ’‘. I just wish we could see the X's and O's without all these injury updates πŸ“Š...

I'm getting a bit frustrated with Coach Johnson not giving us any updates on the cornerbacks πŸ€”. It's like he's playing hard to get or something πŸ˜’. I mean, we've been waiting for weeks to know if Jaylon and Kyler are coming back from their injuries, and now it sounds like they're still a bit of a mystery.

On the bright side, Tyrique Stevenson not sitting out practice is a good sign 🀞. He's been dealing with that hip injury for ages, so if he can get back to full participation, that would be awesome πŸ’ͺ.

It's also interesting that C.J. Gardner-Johnson might be hinting at Kyler Gordon getting more playing time 😏. If the Eagles' receiving corps is as good as everyone says it is, then Gordon needs to step up his game ASAP ⚑️. Fingers crossed he can get back from his injuries and prove himself πŸ’«.
