A senseless act of violence has left a community shaken after a drive-by shooting in Roseland last night. A 32-year-old woman lost her life when an SUV pulled up alongside a car at a gas station on the first block of West 111th Street, firing shots around 11:40 p.m.
The young woman, whose name has not been released, was standing near the gas station when she was struck in the arm. Despite receiving medical attention, she succumbed to her injuries and passed away. The driver, a 25-year-old man, managed to escape unscathed but did suffer an eye injury. He chose to drive himself to Roseland Hospital, where he received treatment in good condition.

what's going through that person's mind firing shots at random like? and now an innocent woman is gone, it's just heartbreaking 
. i dont get why people think driving around with a gun in an SUV is cool or something... it's just asking for trouble. and what's up with the police not having enough evidence to make an arrest yet? shouldn't be that hard to catch someone who's trying to harm others. anyway, my heart goes out to the woman's family and loved ones, rest in peace

It's just too much. A drive-by shooting at a gas station? That's insane. I mean, what's the point of it all? Leaving someone to die like that... no justice or revenge is served here. The poor girl's life was cut short over nothing. And for what? So some 25-year-old dude can feel better about himself by taking out an innocent person? 
it's not like there's no CCTV footage around here or something lol shouldn't be that hard to track down
