AccuWeather Forecast: Sunny with high clouds and cooler temps

A gentle start to the day with a layer of marine clouds that may bring chilly temperatures in some areas. The coastal regions can expect highs in the upper 50s, while inland areas will see highs in the low to mid-60s.

As we move into the afternoon, sunny skies are expected, although temperatures will remain slightly cooler than usual. With high pressure dominating the region, it's looking like a great day for outdoor activities - just be sure to dress warmly and stay hydrated.

However, there is one thing to keep an eye on: beach hazards. A breaking wave warning is in effect through tomorrow, with waves reaching as high as 13-18 feet. This means that rip currents are possible, so if you plan on hitting the beach today or tomorrow, be sure to check the conditions before heading out.

Looking ahead to the rest of the week, it's more of the same - chilly mornings and patchy fog giving way to mild afternoons. High pressure is building in, which should bring some much-needed sunshine to the area.

But don't get too comfortable just yet - next weekend is looking like a cooler affair, with showers possible towards the end of the week. So be sure to pack your layers if you're planning on heading outdoors then.

Here's a breakdown of what you can expect in each region:

* East Bay: Highs in the upper 50s
* Inland East Bay: Highs in the low to mid-60s
* North Bay: Highs in the mid-to-upper 60s
* Peninsula: Highs in the high 60s
* San Francisco: Highs in the mid-60s
* South Bay: Highs in the upper 50s

omg i'm so down for this weekend i was thinking of hitting the beach like yesterday already but now I'll def be checking those wave warnings 🌊😬 hope everyone stays safe out there and packs their warm layers tho we can still rock some sunshine lol 13-18 ft waves whoa!

omg have you guys tried those new iced coffee creamers they just came out at starbucks? i mean i know some people might say it's not the same as making your own, but honestly i think it's a game changer 🤩. and can we talk about how much i love foggy days like today, there's something so cozy about sipping coffee while watching the clouds roll in ☁️. anyway back to this beach warning thing, 13-18 feet is crazy, hope everyone is being safe out there 💪.

Ugh, 13-18 feet waves? that's crazy!!! 🤯 I'm not surprised though, this region is known for its wild coastlines. What's the point of even having a beach if you're just gonna get destroyed by huge waves? 🌊 can't wait to see some gnarly surf vids on YouTube tho!

omg beach hazards 😱 I was thinking of heading out to Alameda Island today... how safe is it tho? 13-18 feet is like, crazy high 🤯 shouldn't we just stay indoors instead? 🤷‍♀️ also, why did the weather people have to warn us about this yesterday lol wouldn't it've been better if they told us earlier so I could've planned my day differently 🙄

Be careful not to get caught in a riptide of bad weather 🌊😬. It seems like Mother Nature is trying to keep things interesting this week, but it's always better to be prepared for anything that comes your way. Pack those layers and stay hydrated – after all, "You can't have too much of a good thing" 🤔.

beach hazards 🏖️🚨 gotta be real, who actually remembers to check the wave warning before hitting the beach? like, isn't that part of the whole 'staying safe' thing? shouldn't it be a no-brainer? 🤔 and what's up with the rip currents, anyway? aren't those just, like, part of the ocean's natural stuff or something?
