Another World review – kaleidoscopic afterlife fairytale with the dark fury of a Greek tragedy

idk why ppl would wanna watch a movie where humans are all stuck in some kinda never-ending limbo with unresolved issues? it sounds super bleak 🤕 like watching paint dry or something. i mean, what's the point of even having an afterlife if u just end up stuck in some twisted loop of hate and malice?

I just watched "Another World" and I gotta say, it was like being trapped in a dream world that felt more real than my own 😂. The animation is insane, I mean, who comes up with trippy pastels and weird creatures? But seriously, it's like the film is trying to show us all this dark stuff about human nature and our impact on the afterlife...it's heavy 🤯. I love how the soul keepers are these pint-sized guides that care for the dead, but at the same time, Gudo's obsession with humans is like, what's up with that? Anyway, the story is wild and all, but sometimes it feels like Ng is trying to cram too many ideas in there and it gets a bit disjointed 🤔. Still, I kinda love how uncomfortable and thought-provoking it is - it makes me wanna think about my own life choices 😳.

I'm so stoked to see more creators pushing boundaries like Tommy Kai Chung Ng is doing with "Another World" 🤯! The way he combines Studio Ghibli's signature style with Game of Thrones' darkness is pure magic ✨. I love how the film explores themes that are both unsettling and thought-provoking, it really makes you think about our humanity and how we can be both flawed and capable at the same time 🤔. The visuals in this film are insane - trippy pastels and breathtaking animation that'll leave you speechless 😲! My only gripe is that the pacing can get a bit wonky with all the different storylines, but overall I'm hyped to see what more creators come up with 💥

I just finished watching "Another World" 🤯 and I'm still reeling from the experience 😲. The visuals in this film are OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD 💫 - I mean that literally! The way the animators blended traditional Studio Ghibli style with the dark fantasy of Game of Thrones is pure magic ✨. But what really resonated with me was the emotional depth of the story 🤗. The idea that our unresolved emotions can create these 'knots' in red silk threads, trapping us between reincarnation and eternity... it's a pretty profound concept 💭.

The thing that got me though was how Ng explores the human condition - we're all capable of such cruelty and self-destruction yet our hearts can also be incredibly resilient ❤️. It's like, this constant tug-of-war between our dark and light sides 🤺. Don't get me wrong, it's not an easy watch - there are some pretty heavy themes here 😓 - but I think that's what makes it so impactful.

Just saw this new anime "Another World" by Tommy Kai Chung Ng and I'm still trying to process it 🤯. Like, I get what they're going for - a twisted take on the afterlife that's both haunting and mesmerizing... but at times it feels like Ng is trying to cram too many weird ideas into one film 😩. And don't even get me started on Gudo's emotional connection with his clients - it's just too much 🤯. I mean, I love a good cry as much as the next person, but this whole thing is just a bit too overwhelming 💔. Still, you gotta respect Ng's ambition and creativity... and that opening scene though 😲

I'm still reeling from "Another World" 🤯. It's like Tommy Kai Chung Ng took all these fascinating concepts - afterlife, reincarnation, karma... and mashed them together with this Game of Thrones vibe 😱. The visuals are insane! I mean, who wouldn't want to watch a trippy pastel world where humans' unresolved issues manifest as red silk threads? 🌈💡 But what really gets me is the emotional depth behind it all. It's like Ng is holding up this mirror to humanity, showing us our darker selves... and how we're all capable of both good and evil at the same time ⚖️. It's uncomfortable, but I think that's what makes it so impactful? 🤔
