At the Guggenheim, Gabriele Münter Takes her Place

I was so down about some art events last year but my wife got me this super cool gift 🎁 - an online course on photography basics! I mean, I've always thought I could just wing it with my camera but now I know how much work goes into getting that perfect shot 😅. Anyway, have you guys seen any good exhibitions lately? I went to the Met a few weeks ago and saw some amazing works by Frida Kahlo - her self-portraits are so powerful 💕. But anyway, back to Münter... it's crazy how often female artists get overlooked, even with their own groups and movements 🤯. My aunt was part of that Blue Rider Group but she never talked about it much (guess she didn't want the attention 😅). What do you guys think about Münter's work - I'm definitely giving her exhibition a try this weekend!

I'm glad to see Gabriele Münter getting the recognition she deserved 🙌. It's crazy to think about how long it took for her work to be taken seriously - I mean, 120+ years is a looong time 😅. But hey, at least now we get to appreciate her unique style and approach, which was so different from Kandinsky's abstract expressions 🎨. It's all about acknowledging the contributions of women artists who were often overlooked or marginalized, you know? 💪. And I love how the exhibition is celebrating not just Münter's art, but also her perseverance and dedication to her craft - that's something we can all get behind 💕.

Finally! 🙄 It's about time Gabriele Münter got some love from the art world. I mean, who needs all that fuss about Kandinsky when you have a master photographer like Münter? Her work is way more interesting than just swirly colors on canvas 😴. And can we talk about how ahead of her time she was? A female artist in the 20th century who's not afraid to experiment and push boundaries? That's what I call a trailblazer! 💁‍♀️ The fact that it took this long for her work to be recognized is just a testament to how much sexism has stuck around in the art world. But now, with Münter getting her due, maybe we can start to see more women artists getting the recognition they deserve 🤞.
