Bears' season grades are in. How did they do?

Bears Season Grades Are In: What Did They Do?

The Chicago Bears finished their 11-win regular season in style, taking down division rivals the Green Bay Packers twice at Soldier Field. However, as exciting as it's been to watch this young team take shape under new coach Ben Johnson, the moment of truth has arrived: time to grade the Bears' performance.

Quarterback Caleb Williams was a mixed bag throughout the season. On one hand, he showed incredible resilience and ability to perform when his team needed him most. He set a franchise record for passing yards with 3,942, and his penchant for turning games around in the fourth quarter is undeniable. However, his completion percentage of 58.1 was lackluster, and his passer rating of 90.1 wasn't exactly eye-popping.

Despite these inconsistencies, Williams' overall impact on the team's success can't be overstated. He's a talented player who's still growing into his role as franchise quarterback, and it's clear that he has the potential to become an all-time great in Chicago.

The Bears' running back duo of D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai was a major bright spot this season. Swift showed impressive poise in his ability to take what the defense gave him, while Monangai demonstrated explosive playmaking skills after contact. The two combined for 1,870 yards and 14 touchdowns, making them one of the most reliable backfield duos in the league.

However, the wide receiver corps was a different story altogether. Rome Odunze struggled with injuries throughout the season, and DJ Moore's inconsistency was jarring at times. However, Luther Burden III showed flashes of brilliance after the catch, and Olamide Zaccheaus started strong but ultimately faded due to issues with drops.

Tight end Colston Loveland emerged as a surprise standout, earning Pro Football Focus' highest grade among rookie tight ends. The young player's route-running skills and hands made him a rare gem in Bears country, and he formed a formidable partnership with Durham Smythe in the run game.

The offensive line was a mixed bag, but overall, it performed well enough to keep up with most defenses. Guard Joe Thuney was a top performer in the passing game, while Darnell Wright emerged as a standout tackle in the run game. Rookie Ozzy Trapilo showed promise at left tackle before getting hurt in the playoffs.

The defensive line, on the other hand, was a major disappointment. Despite Montez Sweat being the best player on the unit, the Bears struggled to generate pressure and were one of only four teams unable to hold opposing running backs under five yards per carry. The lack of depth at this position is clear, and reinforcements are desperately needed.

The linebackers corps also showed flashes of brilliance, particularly from Tremaine Edmunds in the early stages of the season. However, his groin injury limited his playing time, and T.J. Edwards' absence was felt throughout the year. D'Marco Jackson held his own when given opportunities, but Noah Sewell largely struggled.

The secondary, while plagued by injuries, managed to piece together a respectable performance thanks in large part to safety Kevin Byard III's playmaking ability. Nahshon Wright also showed promise as a cornerback, and while Jaquan Brisker didn't make an impact in the turnover department, C.J. Gardner-Johnson had an instant impact after being acquired mid-season.

Special teams unit was a mixed bag, with Cairo Santos struggling to find his footing at kicker but eventually settling into a solid performance. Punter Tory Taylor was good enough, while Devin Duvernay showed reliability as return man, and Josh Blackwell stood out in various ways.

The real star of the show, however, has been coach Ben Johnson himself. Despite not unlocking Caleb Williams' full potential and seeing his offense's effectiveness wane in the fourth quarter, Johnson brought a level of enthusiasm and intensity to the team that was infectious. His demand for excellence is clear, and it paid dividends in terms of wins.

The front office, led by general manager Ryan Poles, deserves credit for the Bears' rebuild and draft haul. Poles' ability to snag key talent like Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams will be crucial to the team's success moving forward.

Grade Breakdown:

* Quarterback: B
* Running Back: B+
* Wide Receiver: C
* Tight End: A
* Offensive Line: A-
* Defensive Line: D
* Linebacker: C
* Secondary: B
* Special Teams: B
* Head Coach: A-
* General Manager: A

Idk about this grading system 🤔. The Bears had a solid 11-win season, but some grades like D- for the defense are pretty harsh 😕. I mean, we all know they struggled to generate pressure, but didn't they show improvement throughout the year? And what's with the linebacker corps not getting more love? They did have some great games and flashes of brilliance 🎯.

And I'm glad they gave Colston Loveland an A for his rookie season – he was a gem! 💫 But overall, I think this grading system is pretty balanced. The offense had its ups and downs, but Caleb Williams still managed to put up some impressive numbers. And coach Ben Johnson's enthusiasm and intensity were definitely contagious 🤩.

One thing that does bother me, though, is the lack of depth on defense – it's clear they need more reinforcements 🚨. But overall, I think this grade breakdown is fair 😊.

omg i'm so hyped about the bears' season 🤩 they really showed what they're capable of under coach ben johnson! Caleb williams is def a talent but needs to work on his consistency 😂 and those running backs d'andre swift & kyle monangai are a dynamic duo 💨 i'm glad we got a glimpse of colston loveland's potential at tight end too 🤩 what i'd love to see is the o-line get some solid reinforcements 👍

I don't usually comment but I gotta say, the Bears' season was super interesting. I think what's crazy is how much potential they have with players like Caleb Williams and Colston Loveland. It's clear that Ben Johnson has brought a new level of energy to the team and it's helped them win some big games. But at the same time, there are still so many questions surrounding their defense - I mean, 4 teams held opposing running backs under 5 yards per carry? That's wild. 🤔💪

I think the Bears' QB situation is a real grizzly (get it? 🦻) - Caleb Williams was all over the place, but still managed to grow into his role. He's like that one friend who always shows up late to the party, but somehow gets it done in the end. Can't wait to see what he does next season... or if they get some reinforcements for the O-line 🤔💪

I'm not sure how to feel about the Bears' season. On one hand, they've got a great young quarterback in Caleb Williams and some solid players on offense like Swift and Loveland. The defense needs a lot of work though 🤔. I mean, who wants to watch their team get destroyed by running backs all season? 😳 It's gotta be tough for coach Johnson to deal with that kinda pressure. But at the same time, I'm excited about the future because of guys like Williams and some of the draft picks they got. Maybe next year will be better 🤞. The key is gonna be getting that defense turned around, but we'll see how it goes in the offseason 🔁

The Bears' season was a wild ride, and it's hard to believe they finished with 11 wins. I mean, Caleb Williams is a talented QB, but he needs to step up his game. His completion percentage was pretty meh 🤔. On the other hand, D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai were on fire 🔥, that duo was unstoppable! The defensive line, though... it's like they just phoned it in 😴. I mean, Montez Sweat is a beast, but not enough to save the team.

Coach Ben Johnson did an amazing job, man 👏. He brought energy and enthusiasm to the team, even when things weren't going their way. The front office needs to keep doing what they're doing, snagging key talent like Johnson and Williams 🤝. It's gonna be interesting to see how it all plays out in 2025.

One thing that did catch my eye was the tight end Colston Loveland. Dude was on 🔥! His route-running skills and hands were top-notch. Maybe we're looking at a future stud 🤞?

🤔 Bears Season Grades Are In and It's a Mixed Bag 🎯

I think the real question is, are they ready for the playoffs? The offense was super inconsistent, but Caleb Williams showed some serious heart. I love how the coaching staff pushed him to perform better in the 4th quarter. 🏈 The defensive line needs a major overhaul, but that young OL made some huge strides. 🚀

The WR corps is like, woah... what happened? Rome Odunze's injuries and DJ Moore's inconsistency were wild. But hey, Luther Burden III showed some serious skills after the catch! 🤩 And Colston Loveland was a total gem as a rookie TE. Tight End A is giving me all the feels! 😍

Coach Ben Johnson is doing something right, though. His energy and enthusiasm are super contagious. And that GM Ryan Poles, man... snagging talent like Johnson and Williams will be key to their success moving forward. 💪 The only thing I'd say is, can they build on this momentum? 🤔

🤷‍♂️ so the Bears are a mixed bag, surprise surprise 🙃. I mean, you've got your stars like Caleb Williams and Colston Loveland, but then you've also got your injury-plagued squad, DJ Moore struggling to find his footing (again), and that whole wide receiver corps just...meh 😐. And don't even get me started on the defensive line, that's just sad 🤕. On the bright side, Ben Johnson's enthusiasm is still going strong, so that's something 🔥. And credit to Ryan Poles for the rebuild, I guess it wasn't all bad this season 🙄. Overall, it's a solid effort from the Bears, but they've got some work to do if they wanna be serious contenders 💪.

idk about all this hype over the bears season 🤔. quarter back calvin williams is all right, but his stats dont exactly scream superstar material 📊. and what's up with the receivers?rome odunze cant even make it through a game without getting hurt 😬. on the other hand, colston loveland was pretty impressive as a rookie tight end 👍. coach ben johnson might be good at energizing the team, but can he actually get them to win some of these games that they blow in the 4th quarter? 🤦‍♂️

🤔 I'm loving the Bears' young core, Caleb Williams is defo got potential to be a top QB 📈. He's still growing into his role and had some killer 4th quarter performances 🔥. But can he work on that completion percentage? 😬

💪 The RB duo of Swift & Monangai was FIRE 🔥! They formed one of the most reliable backfield duos in the league. I'm hyped for their future together 🤩.

🤦‍♂️ The WR corps though... Odunze's injuries were a major bummer, and DJ Moore was super inconsistent 😓. But Burden III showed some serious flashes of brilliance after the catch 💥!

📊 Coach Ben Johnson brought that energy & enthusiasm to the team, it's infectious 🎉! He might not have unlocked Williams' full potential yet, but he's still got the magic touch 🔮.

👏 Ryan Poles and the front office did a solid job with their rebuild and draft haul 🙌. They snagged some key talent and set the Bears up for success moving forward 💥.

Stats:

* QB completion percentage: 58.1% 🤯
* QB passer rating: 90.1 📊
* RB duo combined yards: 1,870 🏈
* WR corps' average drops per game: 2.5 😳

Chart:
📊 Quarterback Performance by Quarter:
* Q1: 70%
* Q2: 65%
* Q3: 75%
* Q4: 80%

Can't wait to see what the future holds for this young team! 🤞

So the Bears season grades are out and it's clear that Caleb Williams is a work in progress 🤔. I mean, he's got some great moments but also has room for improvement, especially with his completion percentage 😐. But overall, the young QB showed a lot of heart and potential, which bodes well for the future.

The running backs were on fire though 💨! D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai are like two peas in a pod, making it tough for defenses to stop them 🔒. And Colston Loveland's route-running skills are insane 🤯. The offense had its ups and downs but I think they're building something special here.

The defense... umm 🙈... needs some work, you know? Losing Montez Sweat and not being able to hold running backs under 5 yards per carry is a problem 😬. But hey, T.J. Edwards' absence was felt, so there's that 🤝. Coach Johnson brought the energy, though - his enthusiasm is contagious 👍.

Overall, I'd say this season is a solid foundation for the Bears to build on 👏. They've got some talented pieces and a good coach who wants to win. Bring it on next year! 💪

I'm still hyped about that 11-win season, man 🤩. I think the Bears made some great moves in the offseason and they clearly have a solid foundation to build on now. Caleb Williams is definitely one of the most exciting young QBs in the league right now 💪, but we gotta work on his consistency and completion percentage for him to reach that all-time great potential. The running back duo of Swift and Monangai was fire 🔥, and I'm glad they got some serious love from the coaches. The tight end Colston Loveland is like a total boss 🤴, and I'm stoked he's going to be a key part of this team for years to come.

But you can't overlook what's still an area of major concern: that D-line... 😬. If we wanna compete with the best teams in the league, we need some serious reinforcements over there ASAP. But overall, I'm feeling pretty good about our chances moving forward 👍. Bring on next season! 🏈💥

I gotta say, the Bears had a pretty solid season 🤔. Caleb Williams is a beast, but yeah, he's got some work to do with that completion percentage 📊. The running backs duo was a highlight, D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai were straight fire 🔥. The defense, though... they need some serious help at defensive line 🚨. I mean, Montez Sweat is the real MVP over there 👏.

Ben Johnson as coach, he's got that special sauce 🎩. He brought a level of energy to the team that was infectious, and I'm glad to see Poles making moves to get key talent in ⚽️. The grades are pretty balanced, but if I had to pick one thing that stood out, it's Colston Loveland at tight end - that kid's got skills 🤩!

I gotta say, the Bears' grading is pretty mixed 🤔. On one hand, Caleb Williams showed some serious potential, but his inconsistency is still a major concern 🙅‍♂️. And don't even get me started on that O-line 🤦‍♂️ - they were all over the place at times. I mean, what's up with Joe Thuney not being able to pass block? 🤷‍♂️

But you can't deny coach Ben Johnson's energy and enthusiasm 💪. He brought a whole new level of passion to the team, even if it didn't always translate to wins ⚖️. And kudos to GM Ryan Poles for making some solid moves in the offseason 🎉.

However, the defense was a major letdown 😩. I mean, who lets running backs get over 5 yards per carry? 🤯 That's just not acceptable. And what's with all the injuries to key players? 🤕 The Bears really need to work on their depth and talent acquisition game ⚠️.

Overall, I'd give this season a solid B- 👍. Not bad, but definitely room for improvement 💪.

I'm loving the Bears' young team's progress! 🐻💪 But, I gotta say, their defense has been a total letdown this season. They're still struggling to get pressure on opposing QBs and stuff the run like they should be. It feels like they need some reinforcements on that side of the ball ASAP. Maybe some solid draft picks or free agent signings can help them strengthen up? 🤔👀

Coach Ben Johnson seems to be doing a great job, though! He's bringing a ton of energy and enthusiasm to the team, and it's really paying off in terms of wins. But, I'm not sure if he's doing enough to unlock Caleb Williams' full potential just yet... Still, 11-1 is no joke, so let's celebrate this season's success and see how they build on that momentum next year! 🎉👏

I'm loving the Bears' resurgence this season 🤩, but I gotta say, there are some areas that need serious attention. The defense was a major letdown, and it's crazy they couldn't even hold running backs under 5 yards per carry 😂. Coach Ben Johnson did an amazing job bringing energy to the team, but his offense needs more consistency, especially in the fourth quarter 🕰️.

Quarterback Caleb Williams showed flashes of brilliance, but his stats were pretty average overall 🤔. The wide receiver corps was a disaster, and I'm surprised they didn't bring in some FA depth to shore up the problem 🤷‍♂️. But hey, tight end Colston Loveland emerged as a star rookie, so that's something to build on 😊.

The front office did a great job drafting key players like Ben Johnson, but we need to see some more stability on defense and at linebacker ⚔️. Overall, I'd give the Bears an A- for their season performance 📈, but with some tweaks to those areas, they can be a top contender in no time 💪. Bring it on, 2026! 🎉

🤔 The fact that they graded themselves a B for the QB position is laughable. I mean, who needs a 90.1 passer rating to be considered great? 🙄 Caleb Williams showed flashes of brilliance, but his inconsistencies are just too much to ignore. Overall, it's clear he still has a lot to learn, especially when it comes to executing games in the fourth quarter. Still, I got respect for him taking what the defense gives him and making plays with his legs. 🏃‍♂️

I gotta say, the Bears had some major highs and lows this season 🤯. On one hand, Caleb Williams showed some serious potential as a QB, but his inconsistency was super frustrating to watch 😩. And don't even get me started on the defense - it was like they just kinda... gave up? 😴

But at the same time, I'm hyped about the future of this team! The running back duo of Swift and Monangai is straight fire 🔥, and that tight end Colston Loveland is a total stud 🤯. And let's not forget coach Ben Johnson - he brought some serious energy to the squad 💪.

The front office did an amazing job of snagging key talent like Johnson and Williams, so I'm stoked for what's to come in 2025 🎉. Overall, I'd say the Bears had a solid season, but they've gotta work on those defense issues ASAP 😬.

idk why they gave the defense a D, that unit was trash lol. but for real, coach Ben Johnson did an amazing job considering all the injuries and stuff. he got this team to win games when it mattered most 🤯. and omg colston loveland is a total breakout star!!! i'm hyped for next season 🎉👏
