Bears' Coach Ben Johnson To Promote Press Taylor to Offensive Coordinator, Replacing Declan Doyle.

Chicago Bears coach Ben Johnson is set to promote passing-game coordinator Press Taylor to the position of offensive coordinator, according to a source. This move would replace the recently departed Declan Doyle, who left for the Ravens just over a week ago.

Taylor previously served as the Jaguars' offensive coordinator from 2022-24 before joining Johnson's staff. idk why they're makin a big deal about this 🤔, just 'cause Declan Doyle left don't mean the offense is gonna be all different now 😐... Press Taylor's been around the block, done some solid work with the Jaguars and Eagles, so I guess it's nice to keep him in-house 👍... But at the end of the day, Ben Johnson calls most of the shots, so I don't see this change makin a huge impact 📈
 
im not super stoked about this move tbh 🤔... i mean ben johnson is a solid coach and all but press taylor's elevation to OC feels like a bit of a promotion without a major change in the offense 📈. declan doyle was already gone, so im wondering if this is just a stopgap measure before they bring in someone new 🚫. plus, the bears have been making some weird staff changes lately and i'm not sure what's going on there 🤷‍♂️

idk why theyre promoting Press Taylor to OC 🤔, like hes not a great candidate or anything, just some lucky guy who caught the coach's eye 🙄. its gonna be super interesting to see how this plays out but im not expecting much of a change from the current offense 📉. ben johnson's offense has been pretty mediocre for years now so i dont think promoting an in-house candidate is gonna magically make them great 🔥. ill be watching with popcorn though 👀
 
I'm a bit surprised they're promoting Press Taylor to OC, I mean, Declan Doyle was with the team for like 2 weeks, lol 🤣. I heard Press did a great job in Jacksonville, but can he lead this offense? 🤔 The Bears have a solid QB in Caleb Williams, so hopefully it won't be too different under new OC 🐻💪. Taylor's experience working with Philly teams is cool, but we'll see how he adapts to Chicago's system 🗺️. Not sure what the team's plans are for Eric Bieniemy, hope they keep him around 👍
 
lol bears are trying to be like the eagles of old 🤣 but instead of a super bowl win they'll be fighting for the mediocrity trophy 🏆 ben johnson is still gonna be the real coach, just giving press taylor more toys to play with 👀 might not change much, but hey, it's always fun to see new faces and potential drama in the locker room 😂
 
omg u guys i just found out that ben johnson is promoting press taylor to o co and idk if its a good move lol taylor was like the second in command when johnson was the qbs coach for caleb williams so idk how much of an impact this change will make but id rather have continuity than some random dude coming in and changing everything 🤔💡 i do know that taylor has some super cool rings tho 🏆👍

idk why bears think they need a new OC 🤷‍♂️ anyone can see that press taylor is still gonna run ben johnson's old system just with more input from him lol the fact that he was quoted saying johnson set the agenda for calvin williams says it all tbh ben johnson's offense has always been overrated in my opinion

From what I've seen, Taylor seems like a solid choice - he won that Super Bowl with the Eagles under Pederson, so he's got experience under his belt 💪. Plus, Ben Johnson seems like a cool coach, he knows how to get the best out of Caleb Williams 🎯. I don't get why they need to make a big deal about changing coaches. I mean, Declan Doyle is gone, but Press Taylor is staying 🤔. He's been with Ben Johnson for a bit already, so it's not like he's coming out of nowhere. Plus, Taylor was good with the Eagles too, so that's a plus ⭐️. The thing is, what really matters is how it affects Caleb Williams and how many points they score on the field 🏈. I'm just gonna keep an eye on it, see how it all plays out 👀
