this explosion is getting me thinking ... if 32 people got injured and most were cops and forensic experts, does that mean more cops are being sent to Kashmir? according to recent stats, India has around 400k police personnel in J&K. That's like 1/5 of the total population. doesn't that seem excessive considering the area is relatively small?
lets look at some numbers... between Jan 2020 and Feb 2024, there were at least 2,800 reported security incidents in Kashmir (mostly related to militants or separatists). That's about 3-4 per day. does that justify the massive police presence?
btw, have you seen this graph showing the increase in terrorist attacks in India since 2019? it's insane!
just another day in Kashmir... 9 lives lost, 32 hurt . Can't even process how many innocent people caught in the crossfire . It's like a never-ending cycle of violence & fear. What's the point of having security agencies on high alert if they can't even prevent accidents? . And what about the forensic experts who were just doing their job? . This explosion was avoidable, period .
