. Nowadays it's like they're trying to sign everyone just to keep up with their competition 
. Bo Bichette, huh? Reminds me of Jason Varitek back in the day – all power and potential but had some limitations on defense 
. I'm not sure if he can adapt to play second base for them... and with Story already playing shortstop, it's like they're trying to fit a square peg into a round hole

... anyways, I think Bo Bichette is a great player, but can he really fill Alex Bregman's shoes? I mean, the guy's gotta be able to handle second base too, that's a big ask. And don't even get me started on power at the plate, I love watching players hit homers like they're going outta style 
... but if the Sox are gonna spend that kind of cash, they better make sure Bichette can bring some serious thunder to the lineup. It's a risk, for sure, but I think it's worth it if he can deliver

it seems like they're getting ahead of themselves considering marcelo mayer is already in the mix for 2b. and what's with the 8yr contract? that's a lotta cash 
i mean, alex bregman was a great player but not worth breaking the bank over. kyle schwarber or pete alonso might be more up my alley 
also, if bregman leaves, we gotta figure out how to get more power in our lineup without breaking the bank... seems like we're gonna have to make some tough decisions.
I mean, what if he doesn't deliver on that power front? The Red Sox need someone who's gonna bring a consistent threat at the plate, not just a guy who can hit singles and doubles all day 
They're already looking at other guys like Schwarber and Alonso, so maybe they should focus on finding the right fit instead of throwing a ton of money at Bichette 
. I'm not saying they shouldn't give him a shot, but they gotta be realistic about what he can bring to the table.
