omg u guys india's olympic bid is literally on shaky ground due 2 these cricket issues w/ bangladesh & pakistan i mean, IOC is all about keepin' sports independent & free from politics but india's got some major baggage w/ those countries bcci has a lot of sway w/ icc & that's not good indian premier league squad drama was just the tip of the iceberg now we gotta worry about 2036 olympics? idk if india can pull off hosting without all the drama
I'm getting major deja vu thinking about India's Olympic bid... reminds me of the Cold War era when sports were supposed to be off-limits for politics . It feels like we're back at that time, but with a twist - cricket is now taking center stage. I just hope they don't mess this up like they did with the IPL... remember when Shah Rukh Khan got kicked out of the Indian Premier League?
It's crazy to think that something as innocent-sounding as cricket can become a point of contention between two countries. And now, it's affecting India's chances at hosting the Olympics? That's just too much drama for my taste. Can't we just focus on the sportsmanship and fair play instead of politics and biases?
I'm still holding out hope that India can pull this off, but I gotta say... the odds are against them right now . Maybe they should take a page from Japan's book when they hosted the Olympics in '64?
Ugh I'm literally freaking out about this cricket thing with India & Bangladesh I mean who knew sports could get so politicized?! I was watching some matches last night & saw Bangladeshi bowler Mustafizur Rahman get removed from Kolkata Knight Riders' squad... like what's the tea? And now Bangladesh is withdrawing from the T20 World Cup & India's Olympic bid is at risk I don't know if I can trust the ICC anymore, with Amit Shah's dad being a high-ranking government official and all that drama Can India even host those Olympics without it being a disaster?! The IOC needs to step in ASAP and make sure sports aren't getting used as a tool for politics
