BuzzFeed Taps Paramount and TMZ Alum Brian Moreno as Tasty’s Head of Video, Leading Food Brand Alongside Ross Yoder

BuzzFeed has appointed Brian Moreno, a seasoned video producer with experience in food, lifestyle, and celebrity content, as the new head of video editorial for its popular Tasty food brand. Moreno joins forces with Ross Yoder, who has been leading editorial operations at Tasty since January.

As part of his role, Moreno will oversee the overall vision and editorial direction of Tasty's video content across digital platforms, including social networks and FAST channels. Meanwhile, Yoder is responsible for crafting editorial strategies for Tasty-owned and operated platforms, such as tasty.co and the Tasty app.

Both Moreno and Yoder report to BuzzFeed head of video Peter Grumbine, with Moreno bringing 15 years of expertise in creating engaging content that intersects food, lifestyle, and celebrity narratives. His most recent stint was as an executive video producer at Paramount Global, where he focused on digital distribution and strategy for CBS brands.

Yoder, a veteran editor, has been with BuzzFeed since 2021, prior to which he worked as a senior editor in the brand's food and home sections. Before that, he held various roles in producing TV, film, and theater projects before joining BuzzFeed.

Tasty, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, produces original long-form and short-form shows across digital platforms, including over 7,500 recipes on its platforms. New content is on the horizon for Tasty, with plans to introduce a slate of new shows in 2026.

I'm kinda stoked about this appointment 🤩... think it's awesome that Brian Moreno is joining forces with Ross Yoder at Tasty! Both seem super talented and have loads of experience in the food, lifestyle, and celebrity space. I mean, who doesn't love a good recipe or cooking show, right? 💬 With 15 years under his belt, Moreno knows how to create engaging content that resonates with people. And Yoder's got some serious editing chops 📚. Fingers crossed they bring new and exciting shows to the table in 2026! 🎉

Just read about Brian Moreno joinin' BuzzFeed as head of video editorial for Tasty... think this is gonna be super interesting! They've gotta keep those recipe vids fresh and engagin', or else the kids (and let's be real, the parents too 🤪) will lose interest. 15 years in food/lifestyle content? that's like a lifetime in internet years 😂. Plus, with the new shows comin' out in '26, gotta assume more of that celebrity flair, what with Tasty bein' all about them fun recipe vids and whatnot 🍴📺. Bring it on! 💡

🤔 I'm telling you, something fishy about this appointment 🐟. Brian Moreno's got 15 years under his belt, but how did he end up at BuzzFeed? What's the real reason he's not working with any big-name food influencers or celebrities? It's all about control and profit 🤑. Ross Yoder's experience is legit, don't get me wrong, but what if he's just being used as a puppet to push Tasty's agenda 🎭? And have you noticed how both of them report to Peter Grumbine? Coincidence? I think not 😏. Buzzfeed's got its finger in every pie now, and this is just another move to silence the competition 💼.

omg what's going on at tasty!!! i'm so hyped brian moreno is taking the helm as head of video editorial 🤩 they're gonna bring some serious fire to that platform and i'm lowkey salty about it because i know those recipes are gonna be SO GOOD 😍 i mean, have you seen their recs lately? 7500+ and counting! 📚 the future looks bright for tasty in 2026 with new shows on the way 🎉 can't wait to see what brian and ross whip up for us

🍴 Just hope Brian Moreno doesn't mess up Tasty's recipe game 😅. Been watching them fail at food videos lately 👎. Bring it on, more seasoned pros like him should fix that! 💪

omg i just had the best avocado toast yesterday 🤩 like seriously can't even compare to anything else what's up with this news tho? so buzzfeed got a new head of video editorial and it sounds kinda exciting but like who cares about food vids anymore lol. btw have you tried that new cafe downtown? their matcha latte is LIFE.CHANGING

I think this change at BuzzFeed's Tasty food brand is gonna be a total disaster 🤦‍♂️. They're just gonna stick all these new shows and recipes together and expect people to magically enjoy them? I don't think so. What's the point of having an extra head of video editorial if they're not gonna shake things up around there? These two newbies are probably just gonna copy everything that worked 5 years ago, without bringing anything fresh to the table. And what about all the talented people who used to work on Tasty, like... well, whoever left because it was too boring? 😴 It's like they're trying to recreate the same old formula and expecting different results. I don't have faith in this new leadership, TBH 🤔

I just can't believe it's time to celebrate Tasty's 10th anniversary already 🎉! It feels like just yesterday I was discovering their crazy-delicious recipes on YouTube. Anyway, Brian Moreno and Ross Yoder seem like great guys for the job - I mean, who doesn't love food content? But what really gets me is how Tasty's growth shows that there's still a huge appetite (pun intended) for quality video content online 🤔. The fact that they're introducing new shows in 2026 is super exciting! Maybe we'll even see some cooking challenges or recipe hacks from famous chefs 👨‍🍳💡. One thing's for sure, I'll be keeping an eye on Tasty's new releases and hoping to discover some more mouth-watering recipes 🤤!

OMG, this appointment is totally a sign that the next gen is taking the reins at BuzzFeed! 🚀 I mean, think about it, Brian Moreno's got 15 years under his belt and he's just joined forces with Ross Yoder, who's been crushing it in food content since 2021. This is the future we need - innovative thinking and expertise that knows how to cut through the noise online! 🤯 And let's be real, Tasty's 10th anniversary celebration feels like a major PR win for BuzzFeed. They're not just revamping their brand, they're giving it a fresh face with new shows on the horizon. I'm low-key excited to see what these two bring to the table and how they'll help Tasty continue to slay the foodie game! 💥

Man I'm so hyped about Brian Moreno joining BuzzFeed as the head of video editorial for Tasty 🤩! He's got the perfect combo of foodie vibes and Hollywood know-how from his time at Paramount Global. It's gonna be lit when he brings his expertise to create some fire content for us! And Ross Yoder is already a pro in the field, so I'm excited to see how they're gonna shake things up with new shows coming out next year 📺💥 7,500 recipes ain't bad either, gotta check it out 👌

OMG, can't wait to see what's next for Tasty!!! 🤩 With Brian Moreno at the helm, I'm hoping they'll really amp up the celebrity content - you know, get those A-listers cooking in their own kitchens 🍳👀 And Yoder bringing his expertise from food and home sections is perfect! It's about time we got some more diversity in that space 🌈 Now let's see if they can live up to the hype... fingers crossed for some juicy new shows in 2026 💪
