Camden firefighter dies after falling through ice into Delaware River

😔 the thing is, i think we gotta take a closer look at what led up to that accident. like, wasn't there warning signs or something? i mean, the river's been frozen for weeks, and Philly police are telling ppl to stay off it. shouldn't our fire department have done some kind of check before sending people out on the ice? 🤔

and what about the safety equipment? was it in good working order? we gotta know that our first responders are protected when they're doing their jobs. this tragedy is just a reminder that we need to be extra careful and vigilant, you know? 💯

😱 This is just devastating, my heart goes out to the firefighter's family 🤕. How can something like this happen on a routine maintenance check? It's not like they were in the middle of a fire or anything 💔. I mean, what kind of safety protocols are in place that someone could fall through ice and not be able to get help quickly enough? ❄️ It's just awful that the guy was under the ice for 30 minutes before being pulled out 🤯. And now the whole city is on high alert because of it 😬. I hope they figure out what went wrong so something like this never happens again 💪.

🐱😱 what's up with these ice safety protocols? like they're good on paper but nobody actually checks them out until it's too late? 🤔 is there a lack of training or something that led to this guy falling through? also, can we talk about how crazy the response time was - like 30 mins under the ice and still managed to save him? what kind of emergency protocols are in place for situations like this? 💦 is it just a case of 'hope for the best' and pray it doesn't happen again? 🤷‍♀️
