man this is like what happens when you gotta put your own house in order before you can worry about others' problems... canada did something weird and now they're getting heat from america but i'm not sure if it's all just water under the bridge . seems to me that canada was trying to level the playing field a bit by withdrawing some athletes, and yeah maybe it wasn't the most elegant solution but sometimes you gotta do what feels right in the moment, even if it means ruffling some feathers. does it really matter who comes out on top in this competition? is it all just about winning and losing, or can we learn something from these athletes' experiences?
I wonder what's really going on behind the scenes in bobsleigh competitions... I mean, it's not like they're all having a giant laugh at each other's expense or anything . But seriously, if there was no evidence to support those claims then why bring them up? It's all a bit suspicious that all those countries were complaining about the qualification process around the same time... . And I'm not buying the excuse that some athletes needed to rest after racing multiple times last week... they're athletes, they can handle it!
So I'm thinking about this whole thing and it got me thinking... how much are we willing to compromise our own goals for the sake of others? Like, Katie Uhlaender was doing her thing, winning events and all that, but then gets denied a spot at the Olympics. And now she's accusing Canada of rigging the system. But let's think about it this way: if every country did what Canada did, would we even have any international bobsleigh competitions? It's a tricky situation, but I guess what it comes down to is that sometimes you gotta put your own team first.
omg i dont think canada did anything wrong they r just tryna help their own athletes out by makin them rest after racing multiple times lol dont @ me. us team was salty cuz they didnt make it thru, but that's sportin at its finest . and btw, dont even get me started on the whole trump thing canada 4 life
Ugh, I'm so tired of this competitive spirit getting outta hand... Like, can't we all just get along? So, Canada gets cleared of these allegations and it's all good now. But seriously, what's the point of pulling athletes from a competition to make it harder for others? It's just not sportsmanlike at all. And poor Katie Uhlaender, she was so close to making it to the Olympics...
And don't even get me started on the whole US-Canada thing. I know they're both awesome countries and all, but can we please keep it civil? No need for threats of becoming a 51st state or tariffs... That's just drama.
I guess what I'm saying is, let's focus on sportsmanship and fair play instead of trying to one-up each other. We're all in this together, folks!
