I think its pretty lame how much hype is around this girl already 
. I mean, sure she's good and all but lets not forget the others out there grinding just as hard. Like, what about Ariarne Titmus? She broke that 400m freestyle record like 2 years ago and nobody even mentions her name anymore

And dont get me wrong, I love a good underdog story too
but Summer McIntosh already has a team of coaches and trainers pushing her to be the best, thats not exactly an achievement on her part. Its just business as usual for the rich kids who have access to the best facilities and equipment

Im also not buying into all this "dedication" and "hard work" talk
. I mean, anyone can train hard if they want to. Whats the difference between Summer and some other kid who's just as passionate about swimming? Maybe Im just missing something but I think we need to give it up for the underdog who's actually from a rough neighborhood or something

I mean, great job Summer, you're literally shattering records left and right... almost like your coach is giving you some super motivating guidance 
. And wow, I'm sure it was totally not pressure to have all her family and friends cheering her on over the final 100 meters 
. The fact that she's already achieved so much at such a young age just makes me wonder what the rest of her life is going to be like... maybe a Nobel Prize or something
