Connecticut routs San Diego State to win its fifth NCAA men’s basketball title after dominating tournament | CNN

man what can u say about UConn winning that 5th ncaa title 🙌 it's crazy how they just dominated that game against San Diego State like 76-59 is a huge margin of victory 😅 but you gotta give props to those senior guards Tristen Newton and Adama Sanogo they played some clutch basketball, it was all about their teamwork and experience leading up to this moment 🤝 coach Dan Hurley said it best when he said they had the chip on their shoulder going into the year because they weren't ranked, and that fueled their determination to prove themselves 💪 now they're part of an elite group of teams that have won multiple championships, it's a huge milestone for UConn's program 📚

omg can we talk about how outdated the scoring system is ?? 🤯 uconn just dominated the game but they only scored 19 pts each like what's up with that? and coach dan hurley said it was all about their chip on their shoulder from not being ranked at the beginning of the year but i feel like uconn had some serious firepower to begin with 😒

I'm still trying to wrap my head around UConn's dominating performance! 🤯 They just showed what they're capable of when it matters most. I mean, six losses during the regular season should've been a red flag for many teams, but not the Huskies 💪. Coach Hurley's "chip on our shoulder" narrative is quite compelling - it's clear that this team had something to prove from the start.

The way they came back from early deficits was nothing short of incredible 🔄. And San Diego State's attempts to mount a comeback were admirable, but ultimately just couldn't keep up with UConn's intensity 🔥. It's funny how Coach Dutcher mentioned that his team just couldn't "keep up" - I think it's safe to say the Huskies left everything on the court 💪.

Now, I'm not gonna lie, the fact that they're joining an elite group of teams with five NCAA titles is pretty cool 😎. And who can blame Jordan Hawkins for being excited about his family reunion? 🤣 The fact that UConn's women's team has also had similar success is just icing on the cake (or should I say, basketball championship cake 🍰).

man uconn is on fire 🚀 their team chemistry is so strong they were down by 12 mins but came back like that's insane i love how coach hurley talks about being under ranked and having the chip on their shoulder it's like they had nothing to lose and everything to gain 💪 adama sanogo and tristen newton are straight fire 🤩
