Foo Fighters Frontman Confirms New Album is Complete as Band Announces Australian Return
In a surprise announcement during a concert in Tasmania over the weekend, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl confirmed that the band's new album is finished. During the show at UTAS Stadium in Launceston, Grohl told the crowd that not only is new music on its way but also that the band would return to Australia sooner than later.
"We'll be back here sooner than you think. And it's before my next birthday," Grohl said with a smile, adding that the band might even have a whole new record of songs they just finished writing.
The comment has sparked excitement among fans and music enthusiasts, who are eagerly waiting for Foo Fighters' next album after their 2023 release, "But Here We Are", which marked the first LP since the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins. Grohl handled the drum duties himself on that album and later shared Josh Freese as a touring drummer before parting ways in May.
Foo Fighters have already announced a North American summer stadium tour, kicking off August 4th at Rogers Stadium in Toronto and concluding September 26th in Las Vegas.
