anyway, back to iraq's lost legacy - it's crazy that there's still a community out there that's trying to reconnect with their heritage. kinda makes me think about how my family's own cultural traditions have been passed down through generations, but not really thought about or appreciated until recently... like, i just realized my grandma used to make this amazing soup that's never been written down anywhere... 
guess you could say it's time for some cultural rediscovery!
