A raccoon was found intoxicated in a liquor store bathroom in Ashland, Virginia. According to officials at Hanover County Animal Protection and Shelter, the "masked bandit" had broken multiple bottles of alcohol and was found passed out Saturday morning.
The raccoon had clearly been drinking, with officials stating it seemed to have drunk different types of alcohol before collapsing in the store's bathroom. When taken to the shelter, officials described the raccoon as "very intoxicated", but fortunately, there were no signs of injury other than possibly a hangover and poor life choices.
After recovering from its ordeal and spending some time at the shelter, the raccoon was released back into the wild, presumably wiser about the consequences of getting drunk. The shelter provides care for homeless or unwanted animals until they are adopted or placed with an animal rescue organization, as their website explains.

I mean who needs a bachelorette party when you've got a liquor store bathroom to crash? and I'm dead at the shelter describing it as "very intoxicated" but also kinda admiring its ability to just roll with it and get drunk like there's no tomorrow (or in this case, no hangover 
) anyone else think that raccoon had some wild times before getting caught?
. but seriously, hope that little guy learned its lesson about the dangers of booze... who knows if it's gonna start a new trend among wildlife? 
i mean its cute that the shelter guys were all like "poor life choices" but seriously tho how did it even get into the store? didnt anyone notice it sneaking around? and whats next gonna be a squirrel getting trashed on whiskey in DC?? anyway, glad to hear the little guy is okay and got released back out. maybe this is some kinda warning to all the wild critters out there about not messin with human liquor 
can you even imagine a little masked bandit stumbling around a liquor store bathroom? poor thing probably had a wild night but luckily it's okay now and they let it go back into the wild with some wise words (or maybe just a hangover) 
. On the bright side, at least it's safe and sound now back in its natural habitat. It just goes to show that even wild animals need a break from our crazy human world sometimes

i mean can you even imagine walking into a store and finding a masked bandit passed out from drinking? it's like something straight out of a comedy movie or a cartoon 
and I'm glad he made it out alive and without any major injuries
