OMG I just saw this thread and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it

Google's use of web publishers' content without permission or compensation for their AI models is so shady! Like, shouldn't they be paying for the data they're using?

It's not like these creators are going to get rich off YouTube views anyway... but still, fair play, right? I mean, if they want to train their AI on user-generated content, they should at least be giving credit or some kind of compensation.
And can you imagine how frustrating it must be for these creators who upload their vids and suddenly their content is being used to fuel Google's profit machines without even asking?

It's like, what even is the point of having a platform if you're not going to support the people creating the content in the first place?
Anyway, I'm all for an investigation into this

. Google needs to be held accountable for their actions and make sure they're not hurting smaller creators in the process
