Ex-WWE world champion to attend John Cena’s retirement match

John Cena is set to put an end to his illustrious wrestling career in spectacular fashion, with his farewell match just around the corner. On December 13th, at the packed Capital One Arena in Washington D.C., the Cenation leader will face off against either GUNTHER or LA Knight in a battle for the ages.

And he won't be alone. Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has confirmed that he'll be attending Cena's historic retirement match. In a casual conversation with Rich Eisen on his podcast, Rollins mentioned that they're "going to do some travelling" and will stop by Chicago for the Cleveland Browns game just after Cena's final bout.

The NFL schedule aligns perfectly with Rollins' travel plans, as the Chicago Bears are hosting the Cleveland Browns on December 14th – just one day after Cena's expected retirement match. It appears that Rollins won't be participating in the match itself, but will be joining his wife and fellow WWE superstar Becky Lynch to catch a game before heading to the Packers matchup later in the month.

For fans of both Rollins and Cena, this is an exciting development. The landscape of WWE is set to shift dramatically with Cena's retirement, and it remains to be seen whether Rollins will make any on-screen appearances at the December 13th event. One thing is certain – the energy at "Saturday Night's Main Event" in Washington D.C. is going to be electric, with Cena's farewell match promising to be a truly unforgettable experience for all involved.

man... john cena is gonna hang up his boots and it's like a part of me is already feeling old 🕰️ . but i guess that's the circle of life in the wrestling world. it's gonna be epic having seth rollins there, he always brings the energy 💥 . i'm low-key hyped for that farewell match on dec 13th, can't wait to see what the landscape looks like for wwe after this 🤔

🤔 I'm not sure if its gonna feel weird seeing John Cena hang up his boots forever, but I think its great that Seth Rollins is there to support him! 🙏 They've been through so much together in the WWE and its awesome they're still close despite their on-screen rivalry. Its also awesome that Becky Lynch will be joining them, I loved watching her rise to stardom with Rollins too 💕. The energy at Cena's farewell match is gonna be insane, I'm imagining a sea of Cenation fans all cheering him on 🏈🔥

Dude I'm not buying it... Rollins is just trying to suck up to Cena like everyone else. What's really gonna happen? He'll show up at the match, high-five Cena one time, and then ghost him afterwards. Give me a break 🤣 The crowd will be hyped because they love Cena, but let's not pretend like Rollins isn't just trying to get on his good side so he can stay relevant in WWE 🤑

🤔 I'm kinda sad it's coming to an end but Cena's legacy is cemented 💯. Rollins showing up is a nice touch though 🙏. Can't wait for the main event, gonna be so hyped 🎉! Maybe this is the sign for some new stars to rise in WWE? 🔝

Omg u gotta wonder wut Rollins gonna do after this? Like literally goin into retirement mode too?? 🤯 i mean we know he's been talkin bout passin the torch but like who's next? Will it b Rey, Roman or maybe even that youngblood Ricochet? Either way i'm hyped for Dec 13th tho, Cena's gonna put on a show, no doubt about it! And I love how Rollins is gonna be there, brings an extra layer of excitement to the whole thing 🤩

omg i'm so hyped for john cena's final match 🤩! he's been doing this whole wrestling thing for ages and it's crazy to think that the end is near 💥 i've had my fair share of saturday night live watching with my mates, but actually seeing it in person must be a whole different level 🎟️ i heard gunther or la knight are gonna give him a run for his money, can't wait to see what happens! and yeah rollins showing up is just the cherry on top, that's like getting a free WWE gift 🎁

OMG I'm so hyped for this!!! 🤩 John Cena is like a WWE legend! Can't believe he's retiring already 😔 it's gonna be such an epic fight GUNTHER or LA Knight is gonna bring the heat though 💥 and it's so cool that Seth Rollins is coming to support his buddy 👫 and Becky Lynch too, I love how they're making this a fun adventure for themselves! 🚗💨 December 14th can't come soon enough, I'm counting down the hours until Cena's match 😅

😂 this is so hyped! I'm loving that Seth Rollins is gonna make an appearance, it's like the WWE is throwing one last party before Cena rides off into the sunset 🎉. It's crazy how his travel plans aligned with the NFL schedule, feels like a clever marketing move 🤑. Either way, can't wait to see what's in store for "Saturday Night's Main Event" - I'm low-key expecting some surprise twists and turns 🤯. It's gonna be wild watching Cena say goodbye to wrestling, especially with all these legendary figures coming out of the woodwork to pay their respects 💥.

omg can u imagine wwe without john cena?! 🤯 he's been such a huge part of our lives for so long its crazy that hes retiring 🙏 i'm defo going to try and catch the live stream on the 13th tho, dont wanna miss it! is rollins gonna make an appearance or is he just there with his wife? would love to see him come out and give cena a nod of respect 💪

I'm calling BS on this one... Seth Rollins just happens to have travel plans that perfectly align with John Cena's retirement match, and he's also staking his claim to the WWE scene by attending Cena's final bout? Yeah, sure. I'd love to see a screenshot of Rich Eisen's podcast conversation where Rollins explicitly states they're "going to do some travelling" and then coincidentally attend the Browns game in Chicago on the very next day 🙄. This sounds like a classic case of WWE trying to manufacture drama for the sake of ratings...

🤔 The curtain call, how fittingly symbolic for a career that's been built on entertainment and spectacle. John Cena's retirement match feels like more than just a goodbye, it's an opportunity for him to leave his mark on the WWE universe in style... but at what cost? 🤷‍♂️ Is this the end of an era, or is it a new beginning for those who'll follow in his footsteps?

And then there's the question of legacy. Will Seth Rollins' attendance be seen as a gesture of respect, or a subtle reminder that Cena's mantle can be passed on to others? The dynamic between these two WWE superstars has always been intriguing... now we'll get to see how they navigate their roles in Cena's final bow.

It's also worth pondering the role of nostalgia in our emotional investment in this event. We're not just watching a farewell match, we're witnessing a chapter close in one of the most iconic careers in wrestling history. The energy at that arena is going to be palpable... but what will it take for us to truly process the magnitude of what's happening? 💥

OMG, can u even believe John Cena is hangin' up his boots 🤯?! I'm totally hyped for his farewell match on Dec 13th at the Capital One Arena! And get this - Seth Rollins is comin' to support him in Chicago before headed to the Browns game 🏈👍 That's some cool fam vibes right there! I've gotta see this live, it's gonna be EPIC!!! The WWE world is changin' and I am HERE. FOR. IT 💥

I'm super hyped about John Cena's last wrestling match 🤩! Can you imagine sitting in that packed arena watching the Cenation leader say goodbye? And it's even cooler that Seth Rollins is coming to support his buddy Cena, plus catching a Chicago Bears game with his wife Becky Lynch 😂. I wonder if he'll make an appearance at Cena's match though... either way, it's gonna be epic! Can't wait for December 13th 🎉

OMG u gotta see this! John Cena's last WWE match is gonna be EPIC!! I'm low-key excited cuz I love both GUNTHER and LA Knight, but Cena vs either of them will be AMAZING!!! And yaaas Seth Rollins is comin' to support his friend & fellow WWE superstar, that's so sweet! Rollins' travel plans are lookin like a perfect little adventure too, can't wait for him to join the energy at Cena's farewell match. I'm all about that 'Saturday Night's Main Event' vibe 💥🎉

Man I'm feelin' this retirement vibe 🤔... it's like John Cena's finally takin' control of his own legacy, you know? He's not gonna let anyone dictate when he hangs up those boots. It's a reminder that our time in the spotlight is limited, and we gotta make every second count. I'm hyped for his final match, but also kinda sad – it's like, can't this be forever?! 😊 On a deeper note, think about how Rollins' involvement with Cena's farewell match is all about balance. He's prioritizin' the people he loves (his wife and family) while still showin' respect to his friend and WWE brother. That's the kinda energy we should all strive for – harmony between our passions and our personal lives 🌈

man this is gonna be epic! john cena's retirement match is always gonna draw a huge crowd, but addin' seth rollins to the mix is like puttin' diesel in a muscle car - it's gonna take it to another level 🚀🔥 and with gunther or la knight stepmin' up, we're lookin at a real barnburner of a match. can't wait to see what the cleveland browns game brings too... seems like rollins is all about makin' some unforgettable memories with his fam 👪💕

OMG 🤯, I'm literally so hyped for John Cena's farewell match!!! 😆 It's gonna be such an emotional rollercoaster watching him step away from the ring after all these years... *sniffles* 💔 On top of that, having Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch there to support his wife is a lovely touch ❤️. The NFL game in Chicago just makes it even more interesting - I wonder if they'll do some promos before or during the match 🤔. Can't wait for Dec 13th! 🎉

omg u guys cant even imagine how hyped this is!!! john cena retiring after 20+ yrs of slaying the game is insane!!! and now seth rollins is coming to support him lol i wish he was gonna tag team up with cena tho that wouldve been epic!!! anyway, i heard rollins and becky lynch are heading to chicago for the browns game and then to green bay for the packers matchup lol theyre gonna have some serious fun while cena wraps up his wrestling career can't wait for dec 13th at the capital one arena!!

Omg I'm literally hyped for John Cena's final match 🤩🔥!!! He's been my hero since I was a kid and I've grown up watching him dominate in the ring. I'm so down to see him go out on such an epic note, with Seth Rollins by his side! The energy at that arena is going to be insane 🎉💥 Can you even imagine the kind of reaction we'll get when Cena finally steps into that ring for the last time? Tears are already welling up in my eyes just thinking about it 😭👏. And can we talk about how cool it's gonna be to see him and Rollins chillin' at a Browns game the next day? That's some top-tier buddy vibes right there 🤜🏻👫
