Face transplants promised hope. Patients were put through the unthinkable

Face transplants are getting all crazy these days 🤯! Back in my day, we didn't even think it was possible to do that kinda thing, let alone make people think about the ethics of it all 😏. I mean, Isabelle Dinoire's story is like, super tragic and stuff... 41 years old, died from complications? That's just wild 💀. And don't even get me started on the whole lack of transparency thing 🤥. Like, surgeons are supposed to put their patients first, not their own interests, you know? 🙄 It's like, we need to make sure these procedures are safe and all that jazz 💊. Racial disparities in organ donation? That's just wrong 😔. We gotta do better than this 👍. The medical community needs to step up and establish some real standards for patient care... it's not just about saving lives, it's about doing it right 🙏.

🤔 it's wild to think that something like a face transplant can be seen as life-enhancing but it's also super dark that someone died after getting one because of how sketchy the whole thing is... like, what even is the protocol for these things? and why are surgeons prioritizing their own interests over patients'?! 🙄

transparency and accountability should be non-negotiable when it comes to something as invasive as a face transplant... i mean, we need to know that our bodies are being treated with care and respect... or not doing the procedure at all? 🤷‍♀️
