Man, this Chicago teen takeover thing is getting outta hand
. I feel for Armani Floyd's fam, he was tryna make a difference thru that after-school program and now... it's just sad
. His dad's trying to keep things positive, but it's hard not to wonder what could've been if those kids had more resources or support.
The city's all over the place on how to handle this - some want stricter curfews, while others think that's not the answer
. I mean, we can't just sweep this under the rug or expect everything to magically get better overnight. It takes effort and commitment from everyone involved.
It's a shame that more people aren't stepping up to help prevent these kinds of incidents... but at least some organizations are trying, like Project sWish
. We need more of those initiatives, not just talk about the problem. The system can only change if we all work together
