Federal appeals court rules against Mahmoud Khalil, opening the door to his deportation

I don’t usually comment but I feel really bad for Mahmoud Khalil 🤕. He was just trying to make a difference by speaking out against Israel's actions in Gaza, and now he's facing deportation? It's like the government is silencing him, you know? 🤐 As someone who values free speech, it's concerning that the court decided to limit his First Amendment rights. I think this sets a bad precedent for anyone else who might want to speak out on sensitive issues. The fact that he was arrested in the first place already feels like an overreach... and now this? 😞

🤦‍♂️ Can you believe this? So, a guy gets arrested and charged with basically being a free speech activist who doesn't want to support Israel's military ops in Gaza... like what's wrong with speaking out against atrocities? 🙄 The court's decision is just mind-boggling - a 2-1 split means that only one judge saw things from Khalil's perspective. And it's not just the deportation part, but also the fact that he could face re-arrest and prosecution again while his case is still ongoing... talk about a nightmare 😩. I mean, what happens to your life when you're in the crosshairs of the government? 🤷‍♂️ The pro-Palestinian activism thing isn't even that radical - it's just people wanting to have their voices heard and advocate for human rights. Maybe we should be worried about our own First Amendment rights, considering how we're treating Khalil... 😬
