Geno's Steaks continues expansion outside Philly with new shop opening next month in Baltimore

Geno's Steaks is set to expand its reach beyond Philadelphia with a new location opening next month in Baltimore, Maryland. As of March 5th, fans of the iconic cheesesteak joint will be able to enjoy their signature sandwiches and Italian hoagies at Power Plant Live!, the city's go-to destination for entertainment, dining, and live music.

The new Geno's Steaks shop will offer a unique dining experience, allowing customers to grab a seat at the bar, order takeout through a window and kiosk, or have their meals delivered through third-party services. With hours of operation still TBA, patrons can expect to find the shop open for lunch, dinner, and late-night bites.

Geno Vento, owner of Geno's Steaks, expressed his excitement at bringing a piece of Philadelphia's food culture to Baltimore, saying, "Bringing a piece of our family history and Philadelphia's food culture to Baltimore is truly special, and it's an honor to join such an accomplished and well-respected community of restaurateurs."

The news comes as Geno's Steaks continues its rapid expansion plans. Having already opened two locations in South Philadelphia and one in Hampton, Virginia, the cheesesteak joint has proven to be a hit among foodies nationwide.

Anthony Matteo, director of operations for Power Plant Live!, is thrilled about the new addition, citing his personal connection to the brand as a lifelong fan who grew up eating Geno's cheesesteaks. "Being part of bringing this legendary, family-owned brand to Maryland for the first time is especially meaningful to me," he said.

The Baltimore location marks another milestone in Geno's Steaks' history, which was founded by Joey Vento in 1966. The original shop remains a staple in Philadelphia, with its rival Pat's King of Steaks sitting directly across the street.

I'm actually kinda stoked that Geno's Steaks is expanding to Baltimore 🀯🍴 I mean, who doesn't love a good cheesesteak? But at the same time, I'm also thinking about the logistics - what if they get too touristy and prices skyrocket? πŸ˜… And have you seen those new locations in Hampton VA? They're getting so popular, it's like everyone and their grandma is eating Geno's now πŸ€ͺ. Still, I guess it's cool that they're bringing a piece of Philly food culture to Maryland - maybe it'll bring some much-needed excitement to the food scene here 😊

omg I'm so down for trying Geno's Steaks in Baltimore! 🀩 i've heard their cheesesteaks are lit but like who needs a cheesesteak when you can have a good ol' pizza? πŸ• i mean idk maybe they'll have some good deals on the Italian hoagies tho? lol anyway geno's steaks is expanding and that's kinda cool i guess it's like they're bringing philly food culture to baltimore but what about dc or charlottesville?? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ i wonder if they'll have any other menu items besides the obvious cheesesteak and hoagie stuff? maybe some apps or a salad bar? idk. anyway congrats to geno's steaks on their new location!! πŸ’•

πŸ€” I'm low-key excited about Geno's Steaks expanding to Baltimore! It's dope that they're bringing a taste of Philly to Charm City 🌴. Having grown up hearing about the rivalry between Pat's and Geno's, it's cool to see another spot pop up in Maryland πŸ™Œ. I mean, who doesn't love a good cheesesteak? The fact that they'll have a bar area is a nice touch too - always a plus for grab-and-go vibes at lunchtime or late-night cravings πŸ΄πŸ‘

πŸ€” think it's wild that a Philly cheesesteak joint is now expanding to Baltimore... i mean, i'm stoked for the fans who are gonna get their Geno's fix, but i feel like we're losing some local flavor in the process 🍴. and what's up with all these new locations? they're popping up left and right! it's cool that Anthony Matteo is a lifelong fan, tho πŸ‘, but I wonder how the original vibe of Philly will translate to Baltimore... maybe it'll be a great test for them to adapt and find their own style πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ.

Geno's Steaks is finally coming to B'more... I guess you could say it's a 'steak' above the rest πŸ€£πŸ’Ό Just kidding, those Philly cheesesteaks are pretty legendary! Can't wait to try it out and see if they can bring some of that authentic flavor to Charm City. Power Plant Live! is always a blast, so it'll be sick to have Geno's as part of the lineup. Maybe I'll even get to meet Joey Vento (rip) in spirit 😊

Geno's Steaks finally coming to Baltimore... about time they bring that Philly cheesesteak goodness our way πŸ‘Œ! I mean, it's not like we're gonna be able to get an authentic Philly experience without a little bit of a wait πŸ€ͺ, but at least now we can have some of their famous sandwiches and Italian hoagies. The Power Plant Live spot is gonna be lit for foodies, that's for sure! I'm curious if they'll have any Philly-style cheesesteak variations or if it'll just be the classic version. Can't wait to try it out πŸ’•

πŸ€” I'm kinda surprised they're expanding this fast πŸš€. I mean, Philly cheesesteak joints are already super popular, so what's next? Will we see Geno's Steaks popping up everywhere πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ? Also, Power Plant Live! is a really cool spot, but have you seen the prices of food there lately? πŸ’Έ I might grab a bite at Geno's when it opens, but only if they can keep those prices reasonable πŸ˜….

omg i'm so down for genos to come to baltimore!!! 🀩 i mean who doesn't love a good cheesesteak? but like seriously why is it taking them so long to get here? πŸ™„ i've been hearing about geno's steaks in philly forever and now they're finally coming to maryland... it feels like we've been waiting forever! πŸ˜‚ anyway i'm super stoked for the new location at power plant live!!! that sounds like an amazing spot. did anyone else try taking food out of genos window or ordering through a kiosk? πŸ€”

I'm stoked to see Geno's Steaks making waves in Baltimore! 🀩 As a self-proclaimed cheesesteak aficionado, I've always been curious about the Philly phenomenon that's all the rage online and offline. The fact that they're expanding beyond their Philly roots is a testament to the power of food culture to transcend borders.

I'm also loving the innovative approach Geno's Steaks has taken with their new location at Power Plant Live! 🍴 Offering a range of ordering options, from grab-and-go to delivery, shows they're committed to catering to the diverse tastes of Baltimore's foodies. It's exciting to think about the unique twists and flavors that this new spot will bring to the table.

The fact that Geno Vento is bringing his family's history and culinary legacy to the city is truly special – it's a nod to the power of community-driven entrepreneurship 🌟. And kudos to Anthony Matteo for being a lifelong fan who's now part of the Geno's Steaks team – I'm sure he'll bring that same enthusiasm and dedication to the table! πŸ‘

man... thinkin bout this new genos steaks spot comin to baltimore got me wonderin about identity & community πŸ€” like what does it mean for a brand to expand & bring its 'culture' 2 a new city? is it just a matter of servin up the same cheesesteak goodness or is there somethin more deeper goin on? 🧐 i think about how geno's steaks been a part of philly for so long, but now they're gonna be in baltimore too... what does that say about our notion of 'home' & 'belonging'? is it possible 2 have multiple homes or are we just wanderin through life? 🌐 anyway, i'm hyped 4 the new spot tho! 😊

🍞️ OMG, I'm totes stoked that Geno's Steaks is coming to Baltimore! Like, who doesn't love cheesesteaks? 🀩 And now we'll have a whole new spot to get those iconic sandwiches and Italian hoagies, plus a bar to hang out at. That sounds like so much fun! The fact that they're gonna offer takeout through a window and kiosk is genius too. Less traffic on the road, you know? πŸ˜‚ And it's awesome that they're bringing a piece of Philly food culture to our city. I'm already salivating thinking about trying those sandwiches...
