Has Joe Rogan fully soured on Trump's presidency?

Joe Rogan's recent comments on US immigration raids have ignited debate about whether he has fully distanced himself from Donald Trump, whose presidency has been marked by hardline anti-immigration policies. In a recent podcast episode, Rogan likened ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) raids to Gestapo operations, sparking speculation that his views are shifting.

The comments came in the wake of the tragic death of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old woman who was fatally shot by an ICE agent during an altercation with her. The incident has become a rallying cry for progressives, with many calling for reforms and greater accountability within law enforcement agencies.

However, Rogan's take on the issue is more nuanced than it initially seems. While he expressed frustration at the political debate over immigration, he also described both sides of the argument, suggesting that people in the country illegally should be deported "because if we don't...it's going to accelerate." He also seemed to agree with an unproven right-wing narrative, held by some, that the Biden administration deliberately indulged illegal immigration. However, recent reports suggest this is largely a case of incompetence and fear of alienating progressive constituencies.

The controversy surrounding Rogan's views highlights the delicate balance he strikes as one of America's most famous swing voters. As Ben Burgis put it, "Rogan is America's most famous swing voter" – someone whose shifting views might predict looming changes in the ideological weather.

Rogan's endorsement of Trump in 2024 has made him a key figure for politicians and pundits tracking his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. As such, his views are subject to intense scrutiny from both sides of the aisle.

Interestingly, since last year, several prominent male comedy and talk-show podcasters who had previously endorsed Trump have walked back their support, including Rogan, Theo Von, and Andrew Schulz, primarily due to Trump's immigration policies.

lol i think joe rogan is just trying to stay relevant 🤔 - he knows his comments on immigration can be super polarizing so he tries to balance both sides of the argument but sometimes it feels like he's toeing the line between being a "moderate" and actually saying what he truly believes 💭. i also think it's wild that people are still trying to figure out if he's fully done with trump - like, dude has been friends with him for years and endorsed him in 2024 so it feels kinda silly to act like he's suddenly against his old buddy 🤷‍♂️

I'm low-key worried about Joe Rogan rn 🤯. He's always been a swing voter for me (I'm a huge fan of his podcast, btw 🎧), but this recent comments on US immigration raids are kinda sketchy 🙅‍♂️. I know he tried to say both sides have valid points and all that, but like, why make those comparisons to Gestapo? 😳 That's some heavy stuff right there.

And don't even get me started on how his views seem to be influenced by Trump's policies 🤷‍♀️. I mean, I know he hasn't fully distanced himself from Trump (yet?), and it makes me wonder if we'll see a full-blown flip in the future 😲. The whole thing just feels so... messy 🤯.

I guess what I'm saying is, Joe Rogan's got some 'splainin' to do 💁‍♂️. Can't we all just agree on immigration reform and move forward? 🤞

🤔 Rogan's comments about ICE raids are super complex, you know? On one hand, he's right that the whole thing is kinda messed up & we need reforms, but on the other hand, I get why some people think deporting undocumented folks might be necessary... it's like, what if we don't do anything, will just more ppl come & put a strain on our system? 🤷‍♂️ At the same time, Rogan's gotta walk this tightrope between both sides, 'cause if he's too pro-Trump, people'll lose trust in him, but if he's too anti-Trump, people might see him as just another liberal dude. It's like, can't we all just agree on being humane & fair to everyone? 🤞

idk about joe rogan but he's always been a bit of a wild card. he's not gonna say anything that's gonna get him in trouble with the trump squad or the progressives. he's all about finding that middle ground and making everyone uncomfortable at the same time lol. i think he's trying to distance himself from trump's hardline policies, but at the same time, he still ain't fully sold on the progressive side of things either 🤔💭

🤔 I'm not sure if Joe Rogan has fully distanced himself from Donald Trump yet. He did say some things that seem kinda pro-deportation, but then he also mentioned that it's gonna accelerate if we don't do anything...it feels like a middle ground? 🤷‍♂️ Maybe he's just trying to be a centrist, you know? The thing is, people on both sides are gonna keep watching his podcast and seeing where he lands. I mean, politicians and pundits are already super interested in him because of Trump's endorsement. It's like he's stuck in this weird purgatory of being kinda moderate but also still having some right-wing views creeping in. 🤷‍♂️ What's gonna happen is that people are gonna keep watching him to see where he goes, and it's hard to predict what his next move is gonna be... 📊
