Hegseth said US military should refuse 'unlawful' Trump orders in unearthed 2016 interview

I'm like "wait, what's going on with this guy? 🤔" First, he's all like "refuse unlawful orders", no big deal... then suddenly he's defending Trump's extrajudicial killings and calling out people who disagree as "despicable" 😒. That's like me saying I love pizza, but then only eating it when it's a certain type of sauce 🍕. It just doesn't add up! And what's with the 'party loyalty' thing? Can't he be loyal to the Constitution and not just Trump? 🤷‍♂️

omg u no? Pete Hegseth is totes out of touch lol 😂 his old comments r all over the place and now hes trying 2 defend trumps military strikes 🤯 its like, dude ur position changed & now u r tryin 2 say u wont follow orders if they r bad news? 🚫 doesnt add up. & wut's w/ all these extrajudicial killings tho? its not cool, imo. just sayin.

I'm all for the principle of not following unlawful orders, but come on, Pete Hegseth, you're being super selective with your moral compass here 🤔. I mean, the guy is now defending President Trump's actions as a Defense Secretary, which is kinda at odds with his 2016 comments about refusing such orders. It seems like he's more concerned with party loyalty than standing up for what's right.

And let's be real, those strikes in Venezuela and Colombia have got some folks worried that we're crossing into extrajudicial killing territory 🚫. I get it, national interests are important, but so is the rule of law and respecting human life. It's not like Hegseth was just a lone voice of reason back then; he's now part of the administration, so it's time to put his money where his mouth is 💸.

Still, I appreciate the fact that Hegseth isn't afraid to speak up, even if he's not always consistent on this issue 🤷‍♂️. Maybe he'll surprise us and find a way to balance his principles with reality? We can only hope 😊.

OMG, THIS IS SO WEIRD!!! 😱 Pete Hegseth is like, totally flip-flopping on refusing unlawful orders now that he's Defense Secretary?! 🤯 I mean, come on, if you're gonna be all about following orders and defending the country, shouldn't you do it regardless of whether they're right or wrong? 🤔 It seems like he's just saying what Trump wants to hear instead of doing what's actually best for the country. 🙄 And let's not forget those strikes in Venezuela/Colombia that killed so many people... I mean, can't we have some kind of trial before taking someone's life? 💀 It's just not right! 😡

idk what's going on with pete hegseth lol, he's all for refusing illega orders one sec, then he's like "hey, trump can do whatever he wants" 🤯 like how does that work? he was 2016 and now he's the defense sec 🤷‍♂️ i dont think hes being true to himself or his values. what changed dude? did he just become a yes man for trump? 🙄

🤔 this is so rediculous... can't believe what this dude said 9 years ago and now he's defending the same kinda actions as sec def... like, where was the consistency? 🙄 also, if he's gonna trash dems for speaking out, shouldn't he be held to the same standard? it's not about being "despicable" or "reckless", it's about accountability... 💯
