‘Holding Space’ Journalist Tracy E. Gilchrist Launches Podcast Year After Viral ‘Wicked’ Interview

Tracy E. Gilchrist, the journalist behind the infamous "holding space" interview with "Wicked" stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande last year, has launched a new weekly podcast called "Holding Space with Tracy E. Gilchrist." The show premieres this week, featuring a conversation with Frankie Grande.

The podcast marks a year since a clip of the viral interview went viral on social media platforms, where Gilchrist was seen holding Erivo's fingernail during their conversation about the hit musical's themes and Erivo's experiences playing the lead role. In an interview, Erivo said she didn't know that her performance had resonated with fans so deeply.

Gilchrist has taken this momentum to create a new platform for meaningful conversations and storytelling. With each episode of "Holding Space," listeners will have the opportunity to hear from guests on a range of topics, from entertainment news to personal stories of resilience.

The first episode features Frankie Grande, Ariana's brother, but future episodes are expected to feature other notable guests as well. Bruno Alcantara, a pit crew member on "RuPaul's Drag Race," is set to join Gilchrist on the show's second episode in December, where they will discuss the upcoming Season 18 of the reality TV series.

Gilchrist expressed her excitement about launching this new podcast, stating that there is a growing demand for conversations that value substance and joy over sensationalism.

I'm low-key surprised she's going from viral interview clip to full-fledged podcast 🤷‍♀️... still, gotta give credit where credit's due - girl's got spunk! Holding space literally or figuratively has some real power behind it 💪 I'm intrigued about the conversations on this show tho... not just celebrity gossip, but actual stories of resilience? That's what I need more of in my feed 📻

Man I'm so excited for Tracy E Gilchrist's new podcast "Holding Space" 🎙️👍 it feels like the right time, you know? We're still reeling from those "Wicked" vibes from last year but now she's got a whole platform to dive deeper into meaningful conversations 🤯. Frankie Grande is a sick guest for her first ep btw I wonder what she'll talk about with Gilchrist... will it be just entertainment news or something more personal? I'm hyped to tune in and find out 🎧💬

omg what a fascinating idea for a podcast 🤩 I've been listening to all sorts of interviews online lately and it's been kinda meh - either super shallow or just a bunch of info dump 📚 anyway this sounds like a breath of fresh air, love that the host is focusing on meaningful conversations and storytelling 💕 can't wait to hear what Frankie Grande brings to the table! 🤔

🌿💖 I'm so down for Tracy E Gilchrist's new podcast "Holding Space" 🎙️! I mean, who doesn't love a good conversation about real topics? It's about time we had more podcasts like this that prioritize substance over drama 🤯. I've been following her work and I have to say, the "Wicked" interview was literally a game-changer 💥. I loved how she just held space for those girls and let them share their thoughts without any editing or spin 🙏. It's like we need more of that in our pop culture conversation 🤗. Can't wait to hear what Frankie Grande has to say on the first episode! 🎉

I'm loving the idea behind Tracy E. Gilchrist's new podcast 🎙️💡! After seeing that viral clip of "Wicked" stars back in 2024, I was like... what's going on with these celebrities? But then I saw her interviewing style and how passionate she is about real conversations 💖. It's so refreshing to see a journalist who isn't afraid to get real and dig deeper into topics that matter. Can't wait to listen to Frankie Grande on the first episode 🤩, and I'm stoked to hear more from other guests in the future! The world needs more meaningful conversations like this 💬.

I'm so hyped for this new podcast 🎉👏. Tracy E. Gilchrist was always known for doing her own thing and having real talks with celebs, but now she's taking it to the next level with a weekly show 📻. I love that she's not just interviewing people, she's creating space for meaningful conversations and storytelling. And featuring Frankie Grande in the first episode is a great move, he's always been a fan fave 💁‍♀️. The fact that she's trying to bring substance over sensationalism is something we can all get behind 🙌. Can't wait to hear more about Season 18 of "RuPaul's Drag Race" and other topics on the show! 👀

🤣 So now we got a podcaster who's literally holding space on air 🙏... I'm starting to think she should just start selling nail-holding kits online 😂! But seriously, it sounds like Tracy E. Gilchrist is onto something good with her new show. Who wouldn't want to listen to meaningful conversations and stories all in one place? 🤔 Maybe we can even learn a thing or two about resilience... or not, because let's be real, Ariana Grande's been holding space for years 😂. Anyway, I'm excited to check out the first episode with Frankie Grande! 🎧

Ugh, another celebrity interview podcast because we clearly needed more of those 🙄. But seriously, I'm intrigued by Tracy E Gilchrist's idea to create a show that focuses on meaningful conversations and storytelling. It's refreshing to see someone try to bring some substance to the table after all the clickbait nonsense out there. And Frankie Grande as the first guest is a decent choice - he seems like a fun and charismatic guy. Fingers crossed this podcast will be more than just a bunch of shallow celebrity chit-chat 🤞.

🎙️ I'm so stoked to hear that Tracy E Gilchrist has started her own podcast "Holding Space" 🤩 it's gonna be amazing having all these deep convo's on one place, like we really need more people sharing their story's and stuff 📚💬

🤔 another podcast, another opportunity to see if we can have some real talk 📺. holding space was pretty viral last year and now tracy's trying to ride that wave, but will it be more than just a clip from the internet? 🤷‍♀️ i'm not sure about this one... it sounds like she's trying to create a platform for meaningful conversations, which is great, but we've been here before with podcasts that promise the world and deliver nothing. anyway, if the first episode with frankie grande is any good, i might give it another shot 🤞

📰😊 So I'm loving that Tracy E Gilchrist is using her platform to create something more meaningful than just clickbait interviews 🤷‍♀️. The whole "holding space" thing was kinda awkward, but I get why it went viral - we're all about juicy gossip on the internet! 🍿 But this podcast sounds like a breath of fresh air 💨, especially with guests sharing personal stories and resilience 💪. Can't wait to see who she gets on next! 🤔 And yay for Frankie Grande being part of it 👏!

omg u guys cant believe it!! tracy gilchrist is back with another platform for real talks 🤩 holding space with tracy e gilchrist is literally what i need in my life - meaningful convo, juicy topics & talented guests all mixed together 💁‍♀️🎧 i mean who wouldn't want to chat w/ frankie grande about everything from entertainment news to personal stories of resilience? 🤗 its gonna be a wild ride & im so down for it! 🎉

Ugh, a podcast about holding space? Like, I get it, it's a thing now 🤣, but do we really need another platform to talk about the same old topics? I mean, I love Cynthia Erivo as much as the next person, but holding her fingernail was kinda awkward... 😳. I'm all for meaningful conversations and storytelling, but let's be real, this podcast is just going to be a bunch of people talking about themselves. Can't they talk about something more interesting? Like, what's really happening in the world beyond the latest celebrity drama? 🤷‍♀️

OMG u guys!!! 🤯 i'm so stoked about tracy e gilchrist's new podcast holding space!!! 😍 it's like she took the energy from last year's viral interview with cynthia erivo & ariana grande and turned it into something even more amazing! 🎉 can't wait to listen in on this week's ep w frankie grande, i've been following his work on RPDR and he sounds like such a cool dude 😎 & who else is excited for the season 18 of RPDR discussion ep w brunol 😆 gotta support more meaningful convo & storytelling on the web 🌐

omg can't w8 to listen to the first ep of "Holding Space" with Frankie Grande! sounds like such an awesome convo 🤩💬 love how Tracy E. Gilchrist is bringing meaningful talks to podcasting & i'm so down for her new show 🎙️👏

I'm gonna miss Tracy E. Gilchrist's infamous nail-holding clip... I mean, who knew it'd be so popular? 🤣 Anyway, she's finally launched her own podcast and I'm skeptical it'll be more of the same thing, but hey, at least she's trying to find new ways to make people listen. Frankie Grande as a guest is nice, I guess, but let's see if she can actually deliver on this "meaningful conversations" vibe or just end up being another viral sensation 🤔💬

so i'm loving the vibe of tracy e gilchrist's new podcast, holding space 🤗 it's all about having real talks with amazing people from different worlds... and let me tell you, she's done her homework on cynthia erivo - that girl is a total boss 💁‍♀️ not just for slaying in wicked, but also for being so open about her experiences as a black woman in the entertainment industry. and now she's bringing that same energy to this podcast, with guests like frankie grande and bruno alcantara lined up for future episodes 🤝 it's all about creating space for meaningful conversations and storytelling, which is just what we need more of in today's world... can't wait to dive in and listen! 😊

Man, I'm so glad Tracy E Gilchrist is doing her own thing with this podcast 🤩! She was already killing it with those interviews last year, but now she's gonna be on top of everything 📻. It's like a breath of fresh air in the world of entertainment, you know? People are starving for real conversations that don't just focus on drama and catty stuff 💁‍♀️. And Frankie Grande is an awesome guest to start off with! I'm hyped for more episodes and can't wait to see who else she gets on the show 🤔. It's all about finding balance and joy, you feel?
