Hot Damn, People Watched That 'Sunrise on the Reaping' Trailer

Lionsgate's highly anticipated "Sunrise on the Reaping" trailer has made a striking impression on audiences, with viewers tuning in to watch it an astonishing 109 million times within its first day. While this may not be as impressive as some of this year's bigger blockbuster trailers, such as those for Marvel and Star Wars, it still marks one of the biggest trailer launches in Lionsgate's history.

The trailer, which has been compared to the studio's previous big hit "Michael", promises a darker take on the Hunger Games universe. Set 10 years before the events of the original trilogy, "Sunrise on the Reaping" follows the young Haymitch Abernathy, played by Joseph Zada, as he navigates the treacherous world of the Hunger Games. The twist? Each district is now required to send four child tributes instead of two, resulting in even more brutal and devastating consequences.

Given its connections to the beloved Hunger Games franchise, it's no surprise that Lionsgate has big plans for "Sunrise on the Reaping", which is set to hit theaters on November 20, 2026. The film serves as a prequel to the original series and will likely draw in fans who have been eagerly anticipating more of the Hunger Games universe.

While some may be skeptical about another prequel installment, the trailer's success suggests that Lionsgate has done something right. With its promising storyline and impressive production values, "Sunrise on the Reaping" is shaping up to be a major event movie for the holiday season.

๐Ÿค” 109 million views in one day? That's just ridiculous! Like, who even uses their data allowance that quickly? Anyway, I'm kinda stoked about this prequel though - it's always cool to see more of the Hunger Games world. The twist with four child tributes sounds super intense and would definitely make for some crazy scenes on screen ๐ŸŽฅ. But, let's be real, we've been here before with other franchises like Star Wars... still, I'm hyped to see what Lionsgate has in store for us. November 20, 2026 can't come soon enough! ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ

๐Ÿ˜Š OMG, can you believe how hyped people are already about this new Hunger Games trailer?! ๐Ÿคฏ I mean, 109 million views in just one day? That's wild! ๐Ÿ’ฅ As someone who's super into wellness and self-care, I'm all about balance and moderation, but even I have to admit that the darker take on the universe sounds pretty intriguing... ๐Ÿ”ช๐ŸŒ… Maybe this new prequel will get people talking and thinking more about the consequences of our actions? ๐Ÿค” It'll be interesting to see how it plays out in theaters, but for now, let's just enjoy the hype! ๐Ÿ‘

I'm loving the buzz around this new Hunger Games prequel trailer! ๐Ÿ˜Ž 109 million views in one day? That's insane! I think what's got me hyped is that it's finally giving us a darker take on Panem, which is exactly what we need to shake things up. Four child tributes instead of two? That's just terrifying ๐Ÿคฏ. It's great to see Lionsgate is playing with fire and pushing the boundaries of this universe. I'm excited to see how Joseph Zada brings Haymitch Abernathy to life, especially since he's been relatively under the radar so far. The fact that it's set for November 2026 just adds to the hype โ€“ can't wait to dive into the world again ๐ŸŽฅ๐Ÿ‘€

omg have u seen this new hunger games trailer?! 109 mil views in one day!! i'm literally hyped, cant w8 nov 2026 lol what do u think about this prequel tho? r u team haymitch or team katniss? ๐Ÿค”๐ŸŽฅ๐Ÿ’ฅ

I'm loving how hyped people are getting around this new Hunger Games prequel ๐Ÿคฉ 109 million views in one day is crazy! I mean, it's not like Marvel or Star Wars can compete with that kind of attention ๐Ÿ’ฅ But seriously, a darker take on the series sounds pretty intriguing. The twist about more child tributes being sent to the arena is definitely a disturbing idea... but hey, if it makes for a thrilling movie, I'm all for it ๐ŸŽฅ November 2026 better bring the heat! Can't wait to see how they pull off this prequel and whether it'll live up to the original trilogy's standards ๐Ÿ”ฅ

omg this trailer is SO intense ๐Ÿ˜ฒ i mean 109 million views in one day is already crazy but thinking about how dark it's gonna get for that prequel ๐Ÿคฏ plus with the twist of sending 4 kids instead of 2, i'm low-key hyped for it? ๐ŸŽฅ lionsgate must've done their research if they're trying to recreate the magic of michael. november 20th cant come soon enough ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ fingers crossed this one hits all the right notes

omg i was so confused about this movie at first but after watching the trailer like 3 times it actually sounds kinda cool?? i mean the whole district thing being forced to send more tributes makes sense with how brutal the Hunger Games already are ๐Ÿคฏ i'm definitely intrigued by Haymitch's story, joseph zada seems like a great actor and i love that they're exploring some new ground in this prequel. fingers crossed it does as well as the trailer suggests and not just another mediocre movie ๐ŸŽฅ

I'm not surprised that this trailer is getting so much attention, 109 million views in one day? That's crazy! I mean, it's still not as big as some of those Marvel or Star Wars trailers, but you can't deny the power of the Hunger Games franchise. I think what's got people excited is the darker take on the universe, and that twist with the four child tributes instead of two? It sounds like it could be really intense.

I'm not convinced it'll live up to expectations though, we've seen a lot of prequels in this series before and they haven't always done it justice. But at the same time, I can see why Lionsgate would want to capitalize on the existing fanbase. November 2026 is still a ways off, so let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet.

๐ŸŽฅ I think people will remember this trailer long after the credits roll because it sparks curiosity about what's to come - every great story starts with one word: 'what if?'

omg did u watch the trailer 4 "Sunrise on the Reaping"? i just saw it 3 times already ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ‘€ i'm literally hyped for this prequel tho! but, umm can someone pls explain 2 me how they're gonna make a film set 10 yrs b4 the orginal trilogy & still keep the hunger games vibe? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ’ญ and, btw, has anyone tried the new popcorn flavors at the cinema?! ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‘€

๐Ÿค” I'm so curious about this new Hunger Games prequel... like what made them choose 10 years before the original trilogy? Was it because they wanted to explore Haymitch's character more or something? ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ’ก And four child tributes instead of two? That sounds super intense... are we gonna see even more crazy stuff in the movie? ๐ŸŽฅ๐Ÿ‘€ I'm also wondering, how does this new twist on the Hunger Games universe relate to the original series? Is it just a fresh take or is there something more deeper going on? ๐Ÿ’ญ๐Ÿ“š

I'm not really sure why we're investing so much in prequels like this. It feels like they're just milking the franchises for more cash ๐Ÿค‘ Meanwhile, there are so many amazing stories and causes that need attention and funding. I mean, have you seen the state of our education system lately? We should be focusing on those issues instead of making more Hunger Games movies. Still, if it's going to bring in some much-needed revenue, I'm not opposed to it ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ Just hope they're using that cash for good and not just lining the pockets of big studios.

OMG I'M SO HYPED FOR SUNRISE ON THE REAPING!!! ๐Ÿคฏ๐ŸŒ… 109 MILLION VIEWS IN ONE DAY IS CRAZY!!! ๐Ÿ’ฅ i mean its not as big as some of those other blockbusters but hey, lionsgate's got something special with this one! ๐Ÿ”ฎ the twist about all four child tributes is SO COOL!!! ๐Ÿ˜Ž and joshua zada looking young and handsome as haymitch abernathy? ๐Ÿคฉ give me more! ๐Ÿ’–

OMG I'm so excited for this new Hunger Games prequel!!! ๐Ÿคฉ I loved the original trilogy and I've been waiting forever for more of Haymitch's story... 4 child tributes? that sounds like it's going to be SO intense! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ I think Lionsgate is taking a huge risk by doing a prequel, but if the trailer is any indication, they're on the right track. I'm definitely gonna be one of the first in line to see this on opening night ๐ŸŽฅ๐Ÿ‘

I'm intrigued by the reception of the "Sunrise on the Reaping" trailer ๐Ÿค”. The fact that it's garnered such significant attention from audiences in just one day suggests that Lionsgate has effectively tapped into the nostalgia and hype surrounding the Hunger Games franchise ๐Ÿ‘€. However, I do wonder if this prequel will truly live up to expectations ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. While the concept of increased tributes adds an extra layer of tension and complexity to the story, it also raises questions about the film's ability to subvert or add anything new to the existing narrative ๐Ÿ“š. Still, with a promising storyline and impressive production values, I'm cautiously optimistic that "Sunrise on the Reaping" will be a box office success ๐Ÿ’ธ.
