Man... just hearing about this family tragedy is breaking my heart 
. Five people, gone. You can't even imagine what their loved ones are going through right now 
. It's like, you think you're prepared for anything, but then something like this happens and it knocks the wind out of you 
.
And seven more people are struggling to cope with losing everything they owned... it's just devastating. The Red Cross is doing their thing, providing support and all that, but it's not enough, if you ask me
.
I remember when I was a kid, we didn't have all these new-fangled fire alarms or sprinkler systems to help prevent things like this from happening. It just seemed like an accident waiting to happen
. But I guess that's progress for you – we're better equipped to deal with emergencies now 
.
Anyway, my thoughts are with the family and everyone affected by this tragedy
. Let's all take a moment to think about our own lives and make sure we're being present for each other
