How to avoid bad Black Friday TV deals – and some of the best UK offers for 2025

Just saw these new TVs from LG, Sony and TCL. Think LG C4 is a beast! 🤯 40W speakers with Atmos support for cinematic audio, Nvidia G-Sync certification too... https://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-C4-42in-OLED-TV-Gaming-Consoles/sin/

Sony Bravia 8A looks good too, brighter OLED panel than last gen. Acoustic Surface Audio+ is on point, sounds amazing! 🎵 https://www.argos.co.uk/Sony-Bravia-8A-Series-42in-OLED-TV

TCL QD-Mini LED is underrated imo, great value for money. 1,008 dimming zones and Dolby Vision support... https://www.currys.co.uk/TCL-C7K-65in-QD-Mini-LED-TV

🤔 These TVs are all pretty sick, but you know what's missing? The good old days of CRTs 😂 I mean, don't get me wrong, these OLED and QD-Mini LED panels are insane, but there's something about the nostalgic glow of a CRT that just can't be beat. Plus, have you seen the price tags on these new TVs? £1,799 for an LG evo OLED77C45LA? That's like buying a brand new console back in the day! 🤑

And what's with all these HDR options? I mean, I know it's supposed to enhance the viewing experience, but sometimes I just want to watch my old VHS tapes without all the fancy bells and whistles. 😴 Still, I guess that's progress for you.

But hey, if you're looking to upgrade your TV game, these new TVs are definitely worth considering. The Sony Bravia 8A is looking pretty solid, especially with its AI-enabled processor and Acoustic Surface Audio+ sound system. And the TCL C7K isn't bad either, with its QD-Mini LED panel and full complement of HDR support.

All in all, it's an exciting time for TVs, but I still think there's something to be said for the simplicity of older models. Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather have a trusty old CRT that I know will always deliver a decent viewing experience than some fancy new TV with all the bells and whistles. 📺
