'I could not stay silent': Palestinian prisoner tells of sexual abuse in Israeli jail

A Palestinian prisoner has come forward with harrowing details of his torture at the hands of Israeli prison guards, including beatings, electric shocks, and forced anal penetration. The 47-year-old father of six was detained in February 2024 without charge or trial and was subjected to prolonged sexual abuse, which lasted over 20 minutes.

According to Al-Saei, he heard one of the guards warning others not to document the incident, suggesting that even speaking out against such abuse could result in severe consequences. The prisoner described being forced into painful positions and unable to prevent the assault, with one guard applying extreme pressure to his genitals.

Al-Saei's experience is just one example of the widespread abuse of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails. Human rights group B'Tselem has documented extensive cases of torture, including beatings, electric shocks, and forced anal penetration, as well as denial of medical care, starvation rations, and overcrowding.

The situation in Israeli prisons has worsened since October 2023, with reports of increased violence and abuse towards Palestinian prisoners. At least 98 Palestinians have died in Israeli jails during this period, with many more suffering from irreversible harm due to lack of medical care.

Al-Saei's decision to speak out about his experience has come at a high personal cost, including struggling to find work and being haunted by nightmares. However, he remains determined to raise awareness about the plight of Palestinian prisoners, saying "it was my choice" to become a voice for those who cannot speak out themselves.

B'Tselem's executive director, Yuli Novak, has described the situation as a "network of torture camps" for Palestinians, with the Israeli regime using prisons as part of a broader campaign of extreme violence aimed at destroying Palestinian society. The international community has largely failed to intervene, granting Israel full immunity from accountability.

The abuse faced by Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails is not limited to physical violence, but also involves psychological trauma and dehumanization. Many prisoners are subjected to prolonged isolation, denied contact with their families or the outside world, and forced to endure inhumane living conditions, including starvation rations and crowding.

As Al-Saei's case highlights, the situation for Palestinian prisoners is dire, with many facing prolonged detention without charge or trial, denial of medical care, and abuse at the hands of Israeli prison guards. The international community must take action to address this crisis, holding Israel accountable for its actions and ensuring that Palestinian prisoners receive the treatment they deserve.

πŸ˜”πŸ‘€ this is just heartbreaking news... a 47-yr-old dad of six goes through such torture & abuse in an Israeli prison... it's sickening 🀯 how many Palestinians are going thru this... B'Tselem's docu's r showing us the "network of torture camps" 🚫 for Palestinians, it's not just physical harm but mental trauma too πŸ’” & dehumanization πŸ˜“ the fact that Al-Saei spoke out 2 raise awareness is so brave πŸ’ͺ but he's also struggling 2 find work n being haunted by nightmares 😩... what's the international community gonna do? 🀝 we need 2 take action 4 these ppl! 🌟

Wow 🀯 the situation in Israeli prisons is just insane, like over 98 Palestinians have died there since October 2023... it's a total nightmare πŸŒͺ️ Interesting how the international community isn't doing enough to stop this, Israel gets away with basically anything and it's so not right 😑

man... this is just too much πŸ€•πŸ˜± it's like a nightmare come true - a whole network of torture camps inraeli prisons? that's just insane 😨 al-saei's story is so harrowing, i can only imagine how tough it must be for him to share all this... and the fact that he's struggling to find work after speaking out? that's just devastating πŸ’”

anywayz, gotta say, i'm shocked that more people aren't doing what al-saei is doing - speaking up against these atrocities. we need more ppl like him who are willing to share their stories & raise awareness about the plight of palestinian prisoners 🌟

😱🀯 I'm literally shook by what's happening to those poor Palestinians in Israeli jails πŸ€•. It's like, how can one country be so cruel to another human being? 😩 The fact that Al-Saei had to go through electric shocks and anal penetration is just... no words 🚫. And the worst part is, it's happening right under our noses and nobody's doing anything about it πŸ€”.

I'm not gonna lie, my heart goes out to all these prisoners πŸ€—. They're human beings too, with families and loved ones who care about them πŸ’•. It's not right that they're being treated like animals in those prisons 😨.

We gotta do more, guys! 🚨 The international community needs to step up and hold Israel accountable for their actions 🌎. We can't just sit back and watch as people suffer like this 😒. We need to spread awareness and make some noise about it πŸ’¬.

I'm so proud of Al-Saei for speaking out, though πŸ’ͺ. It takes courage to share your story, especially when you're put through something so traumatic πŸ™Œ. I hope his voice can inspire others to join the fight against injustice πŸ”Š.

Let's do this! πŸŽ‰ We need to make a change and bring an end to this torture and abuse in Israeli prisons πŸ’₯!

I'm tellin' ya, it's just heartbreaking πŸ€•... all these Palestinians in Israeli jails gettin' torched, electric-shocked, and forced to do things that'd make your worst nightmare look like a Tuesday afternoon 😩. And it's not just the physical stuff, it's the psychological toll too - all that isolation and no human contact? It's like bein' stuck in a never-endin' loop of despair πŸ’”. I mean, 98 Palestinians die in those jails since October 2023... what's goin' on here? 🀯 The international community's gotta step up and do somethin', 'cause the Israeli regime's just makin' excuses like it's no big deal πŸ˜’. It's not right, man... it's not right at all πŸ˜”.

It's just heartbreaking what's going on with those Palestinian prisoners πŸ€•. I mean, 98 people have died in Israeli jails in just a few months - that's just devastating. And it's not just the physical harm, but the psychological trauma too... it's like Israel is essentially creating these torture camps and then expecting everyone to just move on from it? It's so unfair.

And what really gets me is that the international community isn't doing enough to stop it πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ. I mean, we're all supposed to be champions of human rights, but when it comes down to it, nobody wants to rock the boat and take on Israel. That's not good enough. We need to stand up for those who can't speak out for themselves - the Palestinian prisoners are just victims in this whole situation.

πŸ€• honestly tho it's crazy how some people think it's okay to torture others just cuz they're not a threat πŸ™„ 20 mins of pain is a big deal, i'm pretty sure i'd be traumatized for life if someone did that to me lol idk what's more sad, the fact that ppl are being tortured or that they're too scared to speak out about it 😴 98 ppl dying in jail since oct 2023? that's just numbers, where are the people demanding change? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

πŸ€• This is just too much 😩. Can't believe what's happening in those Israeli prisons 🚫. We're always talking about human rights and dignity, but when it comes to Palestinians 🀝, it seems like no one cares πŸ˜”. The fact that this guy had to go through 20 minutes of torture πŸ’‰ is just unbearable πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ. And the worst part? He's been silenced by those in power πŸ‘Š. We need to do something about this 🚨. International pressure, let's get it! 🌎 The world can't just sit back and watch while Palestinians are treated like animals 🐺. Let's raise our voices for Al-Saei and all the others who are suffering behind bars πŸ’ͺ. It's time for change πŸ’₯.

I'm so disturbed by these harrowing details of torture on Palestinian prisoners 🀯 it's just not right that they're being treated like animals in Israeli jails. The fact that the prisoner was forced into painful positions and couldn't prevent the assault is just heartbreaking 😩 I feel for him and his family, who must be going through so much emotional pain. It's not just the physical abuse that's the problem, but also the psychological trauma they're suffering from - it's like they're being erased as human beings πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ

🚨 This is a classic example of how human rights can be used as a political tool to delegitimize Israel's actions πŸ€”. I mean, let's be real, if we're gonna lecture Israel about human rights, shouldn't we also hold our own allies accountable for their human rights record? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Take the US for instance, they're not exactly saints when it comes to torture and abuse 🚫.

And what's with the double standard here? We're quick to condemn Israel for its actions but silent on the actions of other countries like China or Russia? πŸ˜’ It's time to hold everyone accountable, not just one country. Al-Saei's experience is a symptom of a larger issue – the politicization of human rights and the demonization of entire groups 🀯.

The international community needs to stop playing politics with human rights and start holding countries accountable for their actions πŸ‘Š. It's time for us to have a nuanced discussion about human rights, rather than just using them as a tool to attack one country or another πŸ’₯.

😱 What's going on in those prisons?! I mean, 20 minutes of torture is just insane 🀯. And it's not like he was even charged or anything... just a dad of six trying to do his time πŸ’”. The fact that the guards were all like "don't document this" is chilling 😷. It's like they're trying to cover up something horrific.

I'm so tired of hearing about these Palestinian prisoners being mistreated πŸ€•. We should be doing more, you know? Like, holding Israel accountable and stuff πŸ’ͺ. It's not just about them, it's about the whole system that enables this kind of abuse. And what really gets me is that Al-Saei is still speaking out after all he's been through... I mean, I wouldn't have the guts to do that πŸ˜….

It's like, we know this stuff happens, but we don't talk about it enough πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. We should be having more conversations about it, not just in hushed tones behind closed doors πŸ”‡. We need to amplify these voices and make some noise πŸ“£. It's time for the international community to step up and do something about this crisis 🌟.

πŸ˜”πŸ€• I'm so sorry to hear about what's been happening to these innocent people in Israeli prisons. It's just heartbreaking to think about the pain and suffering they're going through. It's not okay that they're being tortured and abused like this - it's a total disregard for human rights 🚫. And the fact that Al-Saei is still struggling with nightmares and finding it hard to get work after speaking out is just devastating πŸ€•. The international community needs to step in and hold Israel accountable for its actions πŸ’ͺ. We can't just sit back and watch as people suffer like this - we need to take action to make sure they receive the treatment they deserve ❀️.

can u believe whats goin on in israeli prisons? 🀯 98 palestinians dead in just a few months is insane. and it's not just physical torture, mental trauma too. al-saei's story is so brave, i can only imagine how hard it is to speak out against this. the international community needs to step up and hold israel accountable for its actions 🀬. we cant just sit back and let this happen. these people are human beings too, deserving of dignity and respect. u gotta keep spreadin awareness about this issue, it's not just about the prisoners, it's about justice and humanity ❀️

πŸ€” u guys think this is just about human rights and all that... but what if it's actually part of a larger game? like, think about it - the intl community is all meh about it, granting Israel immunity from accountability. that means they're trying to sweep it under the rug, or worse, use it as an excuse to further their agenda. πŸ€‘ and what about Al-Saei's decision to speak out? was he just a pawn in a bigger game all along? 🀝 maybe his "struggle to find work" is actually a cover for him being gagged. πŸ’”

πŸ€• this is just so messed up. i cant even imagine being in his shoes and having to go through all that torture. it sounds like something out of a nightmare. how can israel do this to people and get away with it? πŸ€” the international community needs to step in and put an end to this. it's not right that these prisoners are treated like animals, without any human rights or dignity. we need to see some real action taken to stop this abuse and ensure justice for the victims. πŸ’₯

πŸ€• this is just insane, i cant even imagine going through what he went through 🚫, but honestly we gotta keep bringing it up until there's change... like how can israel do this to humans? 98 people dying in their hands is just ridiculous 😨, and its not just the physical harm, mental health is so important too πŸ’”... i feel bad for all these ppl stuck in those prison camps 🚫, they deserve justice & freedom πŸ’ͺ.
