I'm both fascinated and intimidated by this docu about Courtney Love's life

. On one hand, it's incredible that she trusted these filmmakers to tell her story like that - I mean, can you imagine opening up so much on camera? It takes major courage, you know?
At the same time, some parts of the film feel a bit sensationalized, if you ask me. Like, we get it, Love has been through some wild stuff - but do we really need all the gory details? I worry that the doc might be exploiting her struggles for attention instead of truly shedding light on them.
That being said, the more I think about it, the more I realize that's probably exactly what she wanted. This is a woman who has lived life on her own terms - if that means being unapologetically raw and honest with herself and others, then so be it

. And in a way, that takes more strength than any amount of media scrutiny ever could.
It's also interesting to see how the film explores themes of fame, addiction, and trauma on artists - I feel like we need more conversations about those topics, especially when it comes to women in the public eye

. Overall, I'm both excited and wary of this docu, but hey, that's probably just me being a realist
