this is super worrying, if ByHeart was so sure there wasn't any connection to infant botulism why didn't they take action sooner? now we're dealing with 31 hospitals and potentially more because of their delay in addressing this issue. it's also kinda weird that the contamination happened in batches and now its just expanding to other products, what if there are other contaminants lurking around? gotta keep a close eye on this one
Ugh I'm seriously worried about these new baby formulas. I mean, what if other brands are contaminated too? This just proves my point that relying on technology to solve our problems only leads to more headaches ByHeart said there was no reason to believe their formula caused infant botulism, but now we know they were wrong . And the FDA is still investigating how this happened... I'm sure it's not just a simple mistake, there must be some bigger issue at play . This whole thing makes me want to go back to making my own formula from scratch, or better yet, breastfeed
Ugh, I'm literally freaking out over this ! Can you believe ByHeart was like "no way, our formula doesn't do that" and now we know they were just playing it cool? Like, what even is the deal with Clostridium botulinum?! It's wild how quickly things escalated from 15 cases to over 30 in a week . I'm so glad no deaths have happened yet, but seriously, can we please get a handle on this ASAP?
Ugh, this is so concerning . I mean, imagine going through all that stress of having your little one sick with something potentially life-threatening, only to find out it could've been prevented by a faulty formula . ByHeart's denial phase was pretty sketchy, tbh - I get why they wanted to protect their brand, but come on, how could they be so reckless? And now that the truth is out, it's like "oh well" for all these families who had to deal with this . I hope the FDA gets to the bottom of it and makes some serious changes in the formula-making process... parents deserve better
Wow ... I mean, this is really scary news! Infant botulism outbreak doubling in just one week? That's insane! And to think that ByHeart formula was involved... it's like they didn't even do their due diligence on quality control. I'm sure parents are freaking out right now. Like, what can you even trust anymore? Interesting how the company finally admitted fault after all that denial. Hopefully, the FDA gets to the bottom of this and makes some changes to prevent this from happening again
I just had the craziest thought while reading about this outbreak... what if everyone just stops buying formula for a hot second? Like, we could all just breastfeed or formula-feed with something else for a bit? I know it's not that simple, but think of how much easier life would be... no more worrying about ByHeart's recall, and the poor babies wouldn't have to deal with botulism . Plus, can you imagine the drama on social media if everyone just started posting about their formula-feeding struggles? The hashtag #NoMoreFormula could trend in a day!
