I'm a bit confused about the whole 'Jurassic World Rebirth' thing 
... If they want it to be standalone, why make a number 8? Can't they just leave well enough alone and not mess with what makes the series work? I mean, the original trilogy was iconic because of its individual films - Jurassic Park, The Lost World, and then the revival with Jurassic Park III. Don't get me wrong, I love the new movies too, but sometimes less is more

. First, you gotta give it to the studios for keeping the brand alive, but at what cost? It's like they're milking it for every last drop of box office cash without even considering whether we actually want more. Gareth Edwards' stance on standalone films is kinda refreshing though - maybe this is a chance for them to reboot and do something new. But let's be real, the fans are still gonna eat it up no matter what
