Written and produced by Max Martin and Dr. Luke, "Since U Been Gone" was a breakout success for Clarkson, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2005. The song won a Grammy Award in 2006 for best female pop vocal performance and earned two MTV Video Music Awards in 2005.
In a recent interview with Apple Music, Clarkson reflected on the song's enduring impact: "I love what the song does for people... it was very different in demo form sent to me. Behind the scenes, it wasn't so fun to record." However, she also recalled the fun of filming the song's music video: "I just got to have rage and break stuff all day long."

. it's crazy how songs can transport us back to a different time and place, you know? 
anyway, congrats to Kelly Clarkson on reachin' the billion stream club - she's still killin' the game at 43 
. gotta respect her for keepin' it real about the song's production process tho... "it wasn't so fun to record"... kinda like how I feel when my favorite childhood shows come back and they're all nostalgic and cheesy 
she deserves it though, that song since u been gone is still fire after all these years i remember listening to it in high school and it just stuck with me ever since her other songs are pretty good too, but that one's definitely a standout
