LSO/Treviño/ Kopatchinskaja review – he conducts with a coiled-spring muscularity

I was so hyped for this concert 🤩! Robert Treviño is like a master conductor - he knows exactly how to bring out the best in each piece without being too over-the-top 😊. I loved how he balanced all the big and small parts of Rachmaninoff's symphony, it was like a cinematic experience come true 🍿. And that Messiaen piece... whoa! It was so beautiful and haunting at the same time. I felt like I was in a cathedral, but with sounds instead of stone 😌. And Márton Illés's piece was like nothing I've ever heard before - it was like a dance between all these crazy textures 🕺. Treviño knows how to weave everything together like a pro 👏.
