I'm literally shook by this news
. Like, I get it, people want to protect themselves, but allowing firearms in public buildings just seems like a recipe for disaster
. I mean, think about all the times you're at the library or town hall and someone's like, "Oh, look, a gun!" And then everyone's just chillin', trying not to be the hero
.
And what about all the situations where you can't just whip out your firearm like it's a pair of flip-flops
? Like, what if there's a hostage situation or something? I don't know, man, I'm just not sure this is the best idea. It feels like we're trading one risk for another
.
I do love that the community came together to make this decision though
. It's awesome that people are passionate about what they believe in and willing to stand up for it. But can't we find a way to balance that passion with, like, basic human safety?
