Mature decision to deny Manchester City a penalty for handball sets example for referees | Chris Foy

🤩 I'm loving how the new handball rules are being implemented, it's like we're finally getting some consistency on the pitch! 👏 Refs like Craig Pawson and Farai Hallam are doing a great job of calling out those clear-cut handballs without letting VAR get in the way 🙅‍♂️. It's all about understanding the rules and applying them fairly, you know? 💡

And I gotta give it up to PGMO for their efforts in promoting these new guidelines - it's making a real difference! 👍 The Premier League is already looking more streamlined than ever, and I'm excited to see how this will affect the rest of the season 🤔. Maybe we'll even get some more thrilling goals scored instead of those weird handball controversies 😂.

Just seen that top refs are finally getting it right when it comes to those handball calls 🙌... been saying for ages that consistency is key, and now they're starting to get there 👏. You know, 25 years of refereeing in the Premier League must've taught Chris Foy a thing or two about what works and what doesn't. It's not just about making split-second decisions, it's about knowing when to trust your instincts and stick with 'em 💡. And yeah, those new guidelines are a big step forward – we can only hope they keep that momentum going 🔥...

I'm not sure about all these new rules changing up handball... 🤔 I mean, it's good that they're trying to get consistency right, but sometimes I feel like referees are being too strict and missing out on clear handballs. Like, what if a player just reacts instinctively when they think the ball is going in? Does that really count as a deliberate handball now? 🤷‍♂️
