Nature Is Healing (Sorta?) on This Week’s ‘Pluribus’

Carol Seehorn is struggling to cope with the bleak reality of her post-apocalyptic world. The city is empty, and everyone's gone, leaving Carol as one of the few remaining survivors. Her determination to uncover the secrets behind this new world and possibly reverse the "Joining" process that turned people into...others, still burns bright within her.

However, she soon finds herself in a precarious situation when she encounters Albuquerque's wild residents - coyotes and wolves. In an eerily familiar turn of events reminiscent of the pandemic, nature has begun to reassert itself in the face of human absence. As Carol's backyard becomes a hunting ground for these newly emboldened creatures, her life takes a dramatic turn.

Carol initially uses force to deter them but is forced to confront more personal demons when she discovers that wolves are also desecrating Helen's grave site. This event pushes Carol to take drastic action - planting a marker and paving stones over the disturbed earth in a symbolic act of defiance against nature's new order.

As the episode concludes, we're left with as many questions as answers: what did Carol find at the factory? What led her to discover the strange white powder mixed with water? The mystery will have to wait until next week, when episode six hits Apple TV+.

I'm so invested in Carol's story already 🤯📦. I love how she's trying to understand this new world and find a way to reverse whatever happened to the "Joining" process. But at the same time, I feel for her when she's dealing with these wild coyotes and wolves - it's like nature is taking back what humanity lost 🌿💀.

I also appreciate how she uses that marker and paving stones to mark Helen's grave site as a symbol of control over this new chaos. It's not just about survival, but also about holding on to some sense of humanity in this desolate world 💔🌎.

Can't wait for episode 6! 📺👀 What do you think Carol will find at the factory? 🤔💡

I'm low-key fascinated by how Carol's story is mirroring real-life events 🤯. Did you know that a 2019 study found that in the years following the COVID-19 pandemic, many urban wildlife populations experienced significant increases? It's like nature was waiting for us to leave before it decided to take over! 🌳

The coyotes and wolves are not just random additions to the show; they actually represent a growing trend worldwide. Wildlife populations are rapidly recovering in areas once thought to be uninhabitable due to human activity 🦊.

Now, about Carol's struggle... her actions towards Helen's grave site make me think of how our ancestors used to honor and protect their land. It's great that the show is highlighting these themes. Let's take a look at some stats on post-apocalyptic fiction:

* In 2020, over 12% of all books sold were classified as post-apocalyptic (Source: Publishers Weekly)
* The average viewer of science fiction films consumes around 5-6 hours of content per month, which translates to a significant interest in the genre (Source: Variety)

The mystery surrounding Carol's discovery is definitely making me want more 🤔. I'm curious - have you been following any other post-apocalyptic storylines?

Idk about this whole post-apocalyptic thing... I mean, I get it, people are gonna freak out in a world without humans, but can't we just, like, figure some stuff out? Carol's determination is cool and all, but using force to deter coyotes from her backyard seems kinda extreme. And, um, desecrating Helen's grave site? That's just messed up 🤕. I'm not sure if planting a marker and paving stones was the right move either - it feels like she's just giving up on trying to understand what's going on instead of confronting the issue head-on. Still, I gotta admit, it was kinda powerful seeing her take drastic action... now we're left with more questions than answers 🤔.

omg what a wild turn of events lol i mean carol's determination is super admirable but coyotes and wolves on top of everything else?? she needs a stress manager ASAP 🤯🐺😱 I feel her though, discovering those wolves at Helen's grave site was a total low point. Like, how can nature be so cruel? But that symbolic act of defiance tho...i love it 💪🌎 let's get back to the mystery next week cant wait for more 📺👀

omg I'm literally so invested in carol's story right now 🤯 she's like the ultimate survivor and I love how she's not giving up even when everything seems lost. that scene with the wolves at helen's grave though is SO intense 😨 i mean, who knew nature would be the real enemy in this post-apocalyptic world? and carol's response to it...wow, planting a marker and paving stones over her loved one's grave site was such a powerful move 💔 it just goes to show she's not just fighting for herself, but also for what's left of humanity.

anyway, can we talk about how suspenseful this whole thing is? I need answers about that factory and the white powder ASAP 🤯 and what did carol find?! is she going to reverse the joining process? so many questions and I'm HERE. FOR. IT 😆

🤔 omg I'm so invested in this post apocalyptic thing now! 🌪️ I feel like Carol's determination is admirable but also kinda frustrating at the same time lol. Like she's all "I'm gonna figure out what happened to everyone" but then she's all "oh no, wolves are eating my stuff and disturbing graves". 😂😨

And can we talk about the symbolism of that grave site? 🤝 It's like... Carol finds a way to assert control over her new world by basically saying "nope, I'm not letting nature have its way here". 💪 But at the same time it's like she's trying to hold on to human connection and meaning in this empty world. 🌎

Anyway, i'm DYING for more! What's that factory stuff all about? 🤔 is it connected to the "Joining" process or what?! 🚀 Can't wait till next week! 👏

🤔 I'm kinda curious about what's gonna happen next with Carol and these wild coyotes & wolves. Like, is she really gonna be able to take care of herself in this empty world? And omg, her backyard turns into a hunting ground? That's just so intense! 😅 I love how she plants that marker over Helen's grave site tho - it's like she's putting up a fight against the whole apocalypse thing. The mystery around that factory & white powder has me intrigued too... will we ever find out what's going on?! 🤞

🌪️ I feel like this post-apocalyptic world is kinda mirroring our own planet's problems 🌎. We're all about trying to survive in a rapidly changing world, but what's the cost? The way Carol tries to control nature with force only leads to more chaos - kinda like how we try to mitigate climate change without truly understanding its consequences 🤯. And I gotta say, I'm intrigued by the idea of nature taking back its territory... it's like we're witnessing a whole new chapter in the human story 📚.

OMG u guys I'm literally SHAKEN by this post apocalyptic thriller 🤯🔪️ Carol is like the ultimate survivor lol but at the same time I feel for her she's gotta deal with these crazy coyotes and wolves in her backyard?! 😂😨 And then she finds out they're messing with Helen's grave site?! That's just savage 💀. I need to know what that factory is all about tho 🤔🔍 And Carol's marker thingy? So deep fam 💕 it's like, symbolizing humanity's last stand against nature's takeover. Mind. Blown.

I feel like I'm living in a Wild West scenario 🤠. Have you seen all these survival shows lately? Everyone's running around with their emergency kits and bug-out plans, but what about the real world? Like, have we thought about how animals would adapt when humans are gone? It's wild to think that coyotes and wolves are taking over now that we're not here to stop them 🐺. And poor Carol, trying to figure out this new world while dealing with her personal stuff... I feel bad for her 🤕. Can't wait to see what happens next!

I'm really curious about what happened in that last ep 🤔. I feel like Carol's story is getting more and more intense. It's crazy how nature's just taking over and it's like we're seeing some post-apocalyptic vibes here 👀. The idea of the wolves messing with Helen's grave site...that's a whole other level of emotional drama 🌪️. I'm loving how Carol's trying to take control, but also confronting her own personal demons. Can't wait for ep 6 to find out what she found at the factory! 🔍

that factory scene had me on edge 😬, love how the writers are keeping us in the dark and making us think it's not just about Carol's survival but also her own emotional struggles 🤯. that white powder mix is getting interesting...

Wow 🤯 this whole post-apocalyptic thing is getting darker by the minute! I'm like totally intrigued by Carol's situation - what's up with this "Joining" process tho?! And those wolves desecrating Helen's grave site?! that's just savage 🐺💀. I need to know more about what she found at the factory and that white powder - it's like, is it a cure or something? 🤔

I'm getting so invested in this post-apocalyptic world thingy... I mean, can you imagine having to deal with wild coyotes and wolves as your neighbors? 😱 It's like nature is trying to take back what humans took away from it. And Carol's all like "oh no, my backyard is a hunting ground" 🌳💀 But at the same time, I feel for her - she's just trying to survive and make sense of this crazy new world. I'm curious about that factory tho... what could they've been working on? 🤔

just watched this and I'm shook 😱 how messed up is it that nature's just taking over like that? no regard for human graves or personal space... Carol's gotta take drastic action lol but also kinda admire her determination 🤩 would've gone for the peaceful way out tho 🌿

ugh i'm so over these post-apocalyptic shows 🙄 they're all just so formulaic - girl survives, discovers stuff, encounters wildlife...yawn 🐺. and what's up with the "Joining" process? sounds like a bunch of sci-fi nonsense to me 😒. can't we just have a show about someone trying to fix their life or something instead of running around in a empty world 🤷‍♀️. and don't even get me started on how they always manage to find some kind of clue in the most ridiculous places...factory, backyard, grave site? come on 🙄. i swear, these shows would be so much more compelling if they actually explored real issues, like grief or community or something 💔.

im so down 4 more ep's of this show!! 🤯 i feel like carol, just trying 2 survive in dis crazy new world. the way nature is takin over is wild 🌳🐺. i gotta give it 2 her tho, she dont back down even wen faced w/ coyotes & wolves. but that grave site tho 😭... thats some deep stuff. cant wait 2 see what else she finds out at dat factory 🔍💡

I'm totally hooked on this post-apocalyptic series! 🤯 I mean, who wouldn't want to explore a world that's been turned upside down? 🌎 Carol's determination is really admirable, but at the same time, it's crazy how she's dealing with these wild coyotes and wolves in her backyard. I'd totally freak out if my backyard became a hunting ground! 😱 But what I love most about this show is how it's making me think about the human impact on nature. Like, we're so used to thinking of ourselves as the dominant species, but when we're not around, does that really mean anything? 🤔 And omg, that scene with the wolves at Helen's grave site is so haunting! 😨

omg i'm literally hooked on this show!!! 🤯 it's like a mix of apocalypse and mysticism with these coyotes & wolves taking over everything 😱 but what really gets me is how Carol's personal life is suffering cuz of all this supernatural stuff 🤷‍♀️. i feel so bad for her, she's already struggling to cope with losing everyone & then you add these wild animals to the mix? it's like the universe is just piling on the drama 💥 and that scene where they desecrate Helen's grave site tho... nope, didn't see that coming 😱 i need more!
