I'm kinda bummed out when I heard the news... 
I mean, Rep. Miller has been a part of the House for like, what feels like forever? And now she's just gonna step down due to health concerns? It's not like we haven't seen politicians come and go before, but it still stings a bit. I guess you could say it's a sign that even folks in power aren't immune to the challenges of aging... or maybe it's just one of those moments where she felt she was holding people back?

i hope whoever runs against her in 2024 is prepared for an interesting campaign. it sounds like rep miller was pretty popular back in the day, so i'd say whoever takes on her is gonna have their work cut out for them.

It's never too late to be what you might have been 
. This is a tough time for the Republicans and it's gonna be interesting to see who'll take Mary Miller's place. She's been serving her country for a long time so whoever comes in will definitely need to fill some big shoes 
. I hope they can bring some fresh air to Washington, we don't need more gridlock 
. This could also be an opportunity for the Democrats to pick up more seats in the House of Reps, but we'll have to wait and see how that all plays out
