what if they made a mistake about the employee's status or something? shouldn't we have better systems in place to prevent this from happening again? also, isn't it kinda sad that lawmakers are having to deal with this stuff on top of everything else? can someone explain to me how all this works with local governments and federal authorities? 
IT'S JUST NOT RIGHT THAT SOMEONE WHO'S GOT THE RIGHT PAPERWORK TO BE IN THE US IS GETTING DETAINED LIKE THIS. IT'S LIKE, THEY'RE TRYING TO INTIMIDATE PEOPLE FROM SERVING THEIR COMMUNITIES. I MEAN, WE SHOULD BE STRONGLY SUPPORTING PEOPLE WHO ARE TRYING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES, NOT PUNISHING THEM FOR BEING BRAVE.

Like, doesn't he have some kind of ID card or something to prove he's not, like, an undocumented immigrant? And why did they just pick him up out of nowhere at his court hearing?
